We are planning a trip to Orlando the week before Christmas and we have reservations at the Holiday Inn Family Suites. Has anyone been there in the last few months while it is under renovation to become a Nickalodean Hotel? I know the construction is limited to parts of the hotel but is the construction real obtrusive....IS it worth staying there anyway or should we find another place????

and it wasn't intrusive at all. It was actually awesome!!! The staff was great, the rooms were great, the food was not bad, it was so nice we actually spent the last 2 days of our vacation in the pool area. You won't regret it. Also, you can't beat the rates. Have fun and if you have any other questions just ask!!

We are leaving Thurs and staying at HIFS. I will let you know how the renovations are going. I asked this question when I first made my reserv and was told pretty much same thing as chrisann said. Kids are very exciting. They have been seeing the commercials alot lately on Nick.

We stayed there during Hurricane Jeanne, and loved it. The construction wasn't very intrusive, although check-in is in a mobile unit behind the hotel. The staff was great, especially given the fact there was a hurricane. The parking area was full, but again, the hotel was full because of Jeanne.

We stayed there two years ago and will be there again next week. We enjoyed the rooms, the price, and the proximity to the parks. The big hot breakfast is nice as well. With AAA rates off season it was $100 per night and worth it.

Hi

We are going 12/11 - 12/18 and i will let you all know how it was when we return.

I have read almost all goood review of this place, tho i read one ehere they talke of roaches and bedbugs, does anyone have any thing to add to this? With all the good hype i am leaning toward someone perhaps have one bad experience and using the boards to get back at the place. I am banking on the place being as nice as most posters say.

will check back after the trip.
