Holiday Inn Express versus POP Century

Just wondering ... had anyone stayed here recently.
We just added Disney to our summer vacation plans a couple of weeks ago. We've stayed on property for our last 6 visits but this time the rates were just too high for a quick trip ... of course I had an offer that would go into effect the last night of our trip which would have dropped the room rates like $50 a night. So Pop is a no-go. We have 3 nights, 2 rooms at HIE books (cancelled the Days Inn reservation after reading horrible reviews).

Definately POP. With teens, they will be able to participate in Extra Magic Hours if you stay onsite.

Also, the Holiday Inn shuttle schedule will not be very flexible, I suspect.

Disney transportation is much more flexible.

The Holiday Inn sounds nice and looks good. But with the teens I would have to suggest POP. Mainly for the ease of transportation and ability to come and go much more easily.
My kids loved the POP. The food court is great!! And they loved the big icons etc.
Both hotels look lovely.

We would have been staying at Pop but Disney was playing around with the prices. One day it's $125 ... another it's $82 and then it's back up to $125. We have 6 people in our party so we would need 2 rooms. We managed to get HIE for $59 a night. We'll see how it goes. We will be driving, not trying their shuttle because we have a little guy in a wheelchair stroller. The other kids know that once we get to the park we will be there for the day.

Just to let everyone know who are looking at budget trips and Holiday Inns near Disney. The old SunSpree on RD 535 is being renovated. It came up on a recent research. It now has interior corridors and the new photos look very nice. It use to get awful reviews but I bet with the renovations it will become popular with families. The rates were starting at $58.
