Holiday Inn-Downtown Disney Resort Area

Hi! I have some free nights to use and the Holiday Inn-Downtown Disney area is one of the places I can use them at.

Anyone ever stayed there? Any feedback on the hotel??

Have never stayed here, but this is the property my son and I picked for a four night upcoming mini stay. My husband said he'll just be surprised. Reviews on Tripadvisor are really good. They recently renovated the entire property.

I think we're going to splurge and go for a balcony room with a Downtown Disney view. I love a balcony.

Stayed there on points in nov.

The good:
Could walk to DTD if you want too
Could walk the opposite direction to the cross walks ? I think that was the name? Many places to eat
Bar was open late and the bar keep was cool
Pool was nice and was warm
I used points for a total of 5 rooms and was not charged a resort or parking fee
Got a DTD view room
Breakfast was good

The bad:
The restaurant closed by 10 or maybe even 9 each night, no bar food either.
The staff was did not have their act together when serving breakfast.


Over all we were very pleased with the place, and would go back. My favorite points stay in Orlando is the Crown Plaza over by Universal. The kids favorite place is the Nick.

We will be staying there in November, but it looks like you are going in October, so my review won't help much, but thought I would bump up for you. I am also looking for more info on the hotel, especially if the buses to the park are reliable in the morning. I want to be there for rope drop.

Four of us (two moms and two daughters) stayed 4 nights at the DTD Best Western in December. We were very happy with the hotel - the room was large, beds were comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful, and bus transportation to the parks was great. And no daily parking fee
