Holiday Inn at 8214 Universal Blvd?

Just wondering if anyone has stayed here...Holiday Inn and Suites at 8214 Universal Blvd in Orlando? Travelzoo has a special...http://www.travelzoo.com/hotels/orlando/901693/

Would like to hear from someone who has actually stayed here recently. I have looked at Tripadvisor but tend to take those reviews with a grain of salt if you know what I mean .

My mother stayed there last year when she attended a teacher convention. She said the place was nice and everyone was friendly but the food in the restaurant wasn't good at all. Her recommendation was that she would definitely stay there again.

Thanks so much! Did she happen to say how the traffic was in that area? With it being around the convention center I'm wondering about that now.

I like to stay at several hotels on this street. It's never crowded and easy to get in and out of. I like to stay down the street at the La Quinta.

My family stayed there for a night about two years ago and really liked it. The staff were very nice and they upgraded us to a larger room for no charge.
