I did a search and didn't find anything recent on the Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort (on Manchester).

Has anyone stayed there recently? I know it is off the beaten path and will require the use of ART or driving, but I'm OK with that (we're used to dealing with the WDW bus system, so ART won't be anything new). Mostly I'm wondering if the rooms and pool area are nice and if the food is OK in the restaurant.

From the tripadvisor reviews, it looks like they treat Priceline customers rather badly, but we will be booking a guaranteed non-smoking room straight with the hotel.

We haven't stayed at the Holiday Inn, but we have stayed at the Staybridge Resort next to it, which is owned by Holiday Inn and shares the pool. The pool is nice, never was too crowded. The restaurant is okay, not anything I would recommend. We haven't used ART when we stayed there, drove instead; it's a short, easy drive.

Stayed there last winter using up some free nights. Room was pretty new, good size and all things considered quite nice. All we did was sleep there so I really can't attest to anything else.

My only complaint is that it was kinda hard to find and is a little off the beaten path. Other than that, I thought it was fine.

It's fairly close to The Block shopping mall, which has numerous restaurants that might be of interest - TGI Friday's, El Torito, Corner Bakery, and others, plus Krispy Kreme. Just head south on Manchester, which feeds into the mall.

I've stayed here twice, via Priceline bids, for quick weekend trips. My thoughts echo Mr. Toad above. Pretty decent sized rooms and all we did was sleep there. We didn't try the pool nor the restaurant.

Being a Priceline customer, I didn't perceive any slights in our treatment by the hotel staff. And I would gladly stay here again, especially as a Priceline bidder. You can get this hotel at pretty good rate!

Thanks all - I went ahead and pulled the trigger (so no one post anything awful about the hotel now!!! :rotfl2:)

The price just couldn't be beat, especially when you add in free parking. No breakfast isn't significant to us because we're not big hot breakfast folks (yes, I have the only kid in the world who hates pancakes and waffles!) and since we are driving, I can pack some "continental breakfast" items along with us. The fact that the hotel is a bit removed from things is actually a plus for me this time around also - I feel the need to get away from the masses at least a bit this trip!

So thanks again for the help :wave2:

Now onto figuring out why the heck AAA offers the 5 for 3 tickets, but not the 6 for 4!! I want that parking pass, but also need 6 day tickets...

I have stayed there many times and I really like it. I always get it through priceline for a great rate. The rooms are nice size, the tv chanels are good. The pool is nice and big and the hot tub is nice.
I love the bar/restaurant. Great happy hour in the bar. Food is always good. Kids eat free.
We have always used ART when we stay there but the last time we went (in April) We ended up driving and parking in down town disney beause my daughter wanted to come back and take a mid day break it was perfect. We never paid for parking because we would be there 4hrs or so eat lunch get validaded then come back to the hotel swim eat a 1/2 price app at the hotel then drive back to DTD.

I really have always enjoyed this hotel. they have a fridge in every room and the giftshop in the loby is open 24 /7 and they have a microwave for guest to use any time.
