We booked the Holiday Inn Amherst through Trinity Reservations (Staybridge Suites where we usually stay wasn't available) and was just wondering if anyone has stayed there and what their experience was like (in particular the airport shuttle). I noticed that with this hotel breakfast is not included like with Staybridge but for $95 incl. tax I thought it was a pretty good deal. Any thoughts or reviews would be appreciated as we are staying here this Thurs night.:goodvibes

I have never stayed there but the google reviews are good on it. I'm jealous your going to WDW. have a gret time and post when your back home.

We just stayed at HI Amherst a couple of weeks ago (bought a Jaunt deal). The staff are very friendly. However I must caution you about their shuttle service. We had no problems on the way to the airport (we left the hotel at 7 AM). When we returned from WDW, we waited almost 15 minute on the phone trying to call the hotel to request the shuttle (Luckily the volunteer at the Courtesy Desk at the airport was gracious enough to let us use his phone, we weren't using our cell phones). When I FINALLY was able to reach the front desk of the hotel, we had to wait 40 minutes for our shuttle. We then were crammed into the shuttle with another party and they had extra luggage that took up seats). I was so relieved to get back to the hotel. Our kids were hungry, tired and I was running out of patience. To make matters worse-when we arrived home, we noticed that the HI charged our credit card for our stay (we had already paid Jaunt, gave our certificate when we checked in). When I called back, the staff were apologetic and reversed the charge. Unfortunately the charge was on our credit card for the 2 weeks we were away.
I would suggest asking for a room on the lower level. The hotel does not have an elevator.
We ate at the restaurant at the hotel and DH loved the food (there are very few restaurants that he enjoys-he's very fussy) but enjoyed dinner there.
Have fun on your vacay!
