Holiday Hit Squad programme re USA immigration

I am always so pleased to have landed safely I don't care how long it takes!

It took us about an hour to get through this time, we were at the back of the plane so were last off. It has to be said that there werent many desks open and l do agree that some of the immigration staff arent that friendly. An hour does seem like a long time to wait but our flight was only 8hr 23mins, so the lost time is made up there.

It was on local telly, like Simon's confirmed, that the US immigration are addressing the issue and wait times during the busy periods should be reduced.

In the 10 times we have been through MCO our time from plane to car has varied enormously from 40 minutes to 2 1/2 hours.
This has never been down to immigration so much as queueing for car hire.

Last month there was a long queue at the Dollar desk. I heard someone say that this was due to a backlog of flights all landing at once. All the car hire agencies were the same.
In the future I am going to join the Express service for whichever car hire company I am going to be using. This allows you to use a seperate queue and can save quite a bit of time. It seems like you just have to sign up on their web site before you go.

We usually have loger delays getting through immigraiton in the UK when we get back.

it only took me 10 mins to go through in all, though it took chris the best part of an hour, as he was taken to the bad room lol!
