Hi!

Looking for some tips on a destination for a short 5-7 night break in late March or April. No Florida for us this year :(

Requirements are reasonably priced flights, lots of sunshine/high temperatures and nice beaches. It will be a total chill out trip.

Any recommendations?

THANKS! :wizard: :goodvibes

As well as the usual med spots what about the cape verde islands? The temps will be warmer and I think it's about 5 hours to get there?

Were off to morocco later this year for 10 days but were staying inland so no beaches!!

We are off to Cyprus next month but If you want warm weather and nice beaches you couldn't get much better than Cyprus in April.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Couldn't agree with you more, I love Cyprus. My parents used to have a place over there and they always said March/April was the best time to go.

Dubai!!

I've been that time of year and it was PERFECT!!

I love Dubai!

Me and my mum went to the Amalfi Coast (stayed in a little village called Praiano) in Italy last October and it was fabulous, i'd love to go back one day :goodvibes

What about the Canaries - Lanzarote, Teneriefe and Grand Canaria? My friend always goes away in March to one of those places and has a lovely time.

I would LOVE  to go to Dubai! I'm not sure my DH would be ok to go though as he is on long term medication for epilepsy, and i thought they had restrictions on medication going into their country? :confused3 Just something i heard!

There are restrictions, but they are mainly over the counter stuff that is affected. The UAE embassy in London has actually got a dedicated medical department that is very helpful with queries. In my experience, if you can provide a prescription plus doctor's letter or medical report, you are usually OK, but the medical department of the UAE embassy can tell you precisely what is needed. Not so long ago I had a customer travelling to Dubai that needed Morphine for pain relief. My initial reaction was that this was not going to happen as this very much a banned substance in Dubai. We consulted with the embassy and they said no problem as long as certain procedures are adhered to. The customer had an enjoyable and trouble free stay in Dubai.
