Holiday card/gift tag swappers - please read

Okay today is the deadline and we have some groups that aren't full. Please respond and let me know if you would mind combining groups A&B, C&D, and all tags into one.

That means you would make 8 cards if you were in group A or B, 8 cards if you were in group C or D, and 14 tags if you were doing tags. Since some of you signed up for A/B and C/D plus tags, this is ALOT of work, so I don't want to increase the burden on you.

The other option is to keep the card swap groups small and still make 4 cards... I would donate the extra to keikicards and you would only receive 3 cards back (assuming that someone in group C might be willing to move to group D to even out the groups).

The tags -- either we can split up into 2 groups of 7 or make 14 for the whole set.

Feedback please. I was hoping that we would get more participants but I know everyone is pretty tapped out on swapping right now.

About the tags, how do we do the "To" and "From" part of the tag? I have some ideas about how I could make it work, but I would like to know how you want it done.

14 tags are fine with me. As for the cards, whatever the rest of the group wants. I'm easy.

I would go with 14 tags and combining the card groups for generic and for christmas specific. We could still make the type that we signed up for.

I don't really have a preference.... does anyone else? If you have a to and from section, that's great for gifts and if you don't, that's great to put in a scrapbook or on the face of a card....

I'm in A, C and tags and am fine with combining, or if we do smaller groups I can move form C to D. For tags should we have the to-from on the backs of the tags so we can use them for whatever?

I thought we didn't have to do to-from on the tags...(at least that's what I remember seeing maybe on the other thread ). My first choice would be 2 groups of 7, but whatever works out. (I just thought I was done...)

Okay - on the tag swap, how about we do "make 10, get back 10".... you won't get one of every one back, but you'll get 10 different ones - not including your own. I think that would work out.

And I think we are leaning toward combining A&B, and C&D, so you'd make 8 cards. Anyone else with an opinion?

BubbasMom - I like the 10 in, 10 back idea for the tags. And 8 for the cards is great too!

I don't have a problem doing more cards or tags - I make all my own Christmas cards anyways so a few more is not going to be a problem - we did over 300 Christmas cards last year between me, my best friend, her sister, and her mom - what's 8 or 10 more?

If I am going to make 10 tags, it isn't that much harder to make 14. JMHO

I'm OK with combining. Eight cards and 14 tags really isn't a big deal with me. Once you've done 20+ complicated paper piecings, as I have, 8 and 14 cards and tags doesn't sound bad at all.

ok...i need to clarify...i'm in group A...so i need to make 8 cards & send it all out to you (Joy), right? regardless of how many signed up? just wanted to make sure! and i can still make 8 of the same kinds, w/generic holiday, blank inside. please someone tell me if i'm wrong! cuz i think that's what i'm thinking is correct, right?? thank you!!

You're right -- you'll make 8 of the design you originally signed up for.
