Hi everyone! I just completed my ADRs with Disney yesterday. Then I read on the boards that I have to have reservations/tickets for the processional--is this true? :surfweb:

The woman taking my reservations didn't mention this when I told her I was interested in the processional after a meal at Epcot...(I chose Le Cellier). Should I have done something differently with this?

Also, is there a dining/candlelight processional package? I would really appreciate more information on this.

Thanks!

You don't need special tickets to watch the Candlelight Processional. It's part of your park admission. However there is a dinner package where they hold of a certain number of seats so you don't have to wait in the huge line.

Just be aware, that line for those with the CP packages is long also!!! I've been for three years in a row now..every time it's been a wait of at least 30-45 minutes, even though we have had the 'passes'. The line was huge!!!! I'm sure there are people that do get in without the package but it can't be a lot!

I got in last year without the package and only about 5 minutes before showtime. Granted, it was one of their first few shows that season (Wednesday, Nov. 30th maybe?) at the 8:00 p.m. show. Also, the narrator was Phil Donahue, who probably doesn't draw a huge crowd. So, it really depends on the busy-ness of the day/week, the narrator, etc.

P.S. Hey Goofy4tink!! It looks like I'll be missing the Jellyrolls meet this year. But I'll get the guys warmed up for you :)

Very true, however you do get a seat. I've walked into the 5:00 show where there were plenty of open seats and seen HUGE lines for the 8:15 show. The later show is great because it's dark the lights stand out better. My favorite part is the herald trumpets. Getting the package is still the best idea.

Ok, now I'm TOTALLY confused! I just made a CP package reservation today and had to give the guy my cc number to reserve it. He said it's $40/adult and $13/child (tier2?). Is the CP actually free? We're on the dining plan so our meal is taken care of, he said this was for the cost of the tickets and we had to cancel at least 48 hours in advance. Can we just book dinner reservations and not have to pay to see the CP?

If anybody has paid, is it worth it?

Thanks a bunch!

They ask for your credit card but should not have had to pay for this if you are using the DDP. The credit card is just to hold the ressies but the Candlelight Processional is free w/ admission to the park. I would call back to question this. We are going to this 11/29 and are eating at Le Cellier on the package. They took our credit card number but we were not charged.

I also have never been to the CP, but I booked the package on the first day that it was offered. I am also on the dining plan but left my cc number as assurance. I have to think that your chances of a good seat are alot better if you have the CP Package. Why risk the chance of not getting a seat for a busy show?

I just called back for clarification and she assured me that the cc number is just a guarantee and that the CP is no charge. PHEW! That's what I call total miscommunication.
Thanks for your help and clarification! I'm REALLY excited about it now, knowing there's no extra charge!!

86 more days, but who's counting?!

Thank you so much! I'm all set now with a CP Package at Le Cellier. We're at the 6:45 show. I'm still not clear on the logistics, but I guess, as usual, someone will tell us where to go!! :rotfl:

You technically don't have to have a package, but if you want a good seat, you're better off getting one. Let me give you an example to illustrate why-Last year I went to see Harry Hamlin do the narrating. I was the first person on the General Public line and got to sit in the first row of General Public seating. I was sitting in the third row from the back of the theater!!!(5 pm show) Also,be aware that the Dinner package line can be long too. If you show up to the line 30 minutes before the show like Disney tells you to,you will find the line to be very long.

We were there for Phil D's second show....it was not the greatest CP I've ever done. But, the music and story are terrific anyway!!

Tell the 'guys' we're a coming on down, and to get those voices ready!!!! We'll miss you this year.

My DBF and I are also going to Candlelight on 11/29 and eating at Le Cellier. We have 4:15 dinner ressies. This is our first time eating here- I am psyched! My DBF is quite excited to see John O'Hurley narrate, as he is quite the Seinfeld fan :rotfl:
