Holding points

Is there any creative way of moving holding points into the next use year? I cancelled a trip in November and the 52 holding points expire on July 31. Now, we're thinking of going down the weekend before Christmas. Before I book by borrowing from 2015, is there any way to move the holding points into my 2014 August use year? I don't really know any other DVC members to see if we can trade points through a transfer, but is there a website that people do that?

It's not going to be a hardship for me to go in July, and borrowing. This is my dd's last year of high school, and my friends aren't really Disney oriented, so I may be renting out points for the next few years anyway. But... I'd be happy to save the points if I possibly could (plus... we could get a 1 BR and stay longer!)

Not in their current form. The only way to really move them beyond July 31 is to deposit them into RCI. That would make them expire in late 2015 or 2016, I think. But obviously you couldn't use them for Disney and you'd need more than 52 to deposit.
