Holding points question

Howdy,
We have a trip planned for May 8-11 using our contract points.
We have 87 points in holding from a cancelled trip.
Can I modify my existing reservation on March 9th (60 days out) and extend my trip? (assuming there is availability)
Member services said I have to wait until March 12th to add on the existing reservation. But if I am modifying my existing trip, the Holding points will be used first, and my contract points can be used to add days at the end of the trip, right?

Yes. The system will even let you use the holding points without adding days.

It won’t be a problem to do on the 9th.
