Holding dual park pass reservations

Ok. So, because I’m an annual pass holder with hotel reservations, I’ve been able to get 2 park pass reservations (both for myself) on a few different days. I’m holding both EP & MK on one day, and HS & EP on another day. Has anyone ever kept dual reservations and been able to enter either park before 2pm?? Or will the extra one be cancelled after tapping into the first park?? What about the virtual queue for Remy? Do you think there’s a risk of both passes being cancelled by guest services before my trip?

I recommend that YOU should remedy this mix-up ASAP... and make a change so that you only have one reservation per day... the one that you prefer.

I've never heard of anybody holding 2 park reservations in different parks for the same day. Must be a glitch, in which case there's no way to know until you get there.
I thought it might be too. Crazy thing is that I’ve had these for a few months now… with no change, even after the major updates to MDE. etc., so I don’t think they’re going anywhere.

I had this happen a couple of times the week of October 1st.

I had a similar issue - I booked a few reservations under the old system, and then when the new AP system came out, it allowed me to make reservations on the same day I already had reservations for. I had a DHS reservation under the old system, and I added a Epcot reservation under the new system. The gate didn't care that I'd already been into one park when I went into the other. (I think it was before 2pm, but I can't remember for sure. At the very least, the other reservation was still on MDE after I entered the first park, and disappeared after I entered the second.)

If it were me, I wouldn't sweat it. I don't think they have any way of verifying that kind of thing, and a valid reservation is a valid reservation.

thanks for your answer, it was what I was wondering about. Now, I am curious if I were to get a Virtual Que Boarding Group for the Remy Ride at Epcot, then go to the Magic Kingdom in the morning, and still be able to use the Boarding Group?

I brought up a similar situation in another thread. It had to do with when they changed the Park Reservation system. I have a few days of double park reservations for our trip in a few weeks.

Thank you both for sharing! That’s kind of the way I saw it too- a res is a res 😉

I'm completely guessing, but I'd say yes. (My situation was after ROTR's VQ ended and before Remy's VQ started, so I didn't have to worry about either.) It's a gamble - so you'd have to decide if it were worth the risk - but I'd bet it wouldn't be a problem.

@rick1zoo2 - Thanks for linking the old thread too! I thought I had read that I wasn’t the only one, but couldn’t find it anywhere.

So, I also tested something on a non-busy day a few weeks back. Since I have an AP, I went ahead and made a park reservation for Epcot, scored a Boarding Group for the Remy ride, then cancelled the Epcot park reservation, and made a different Park Reservation for the Magic Kingdom. The Boarding Pass didn't disappear. Because I was at home, I wasn't able to complete the test to find out if it really worked.

I doubt that you would be able to get into EPCOT for the BG unless it was afternoon and you had already tapped into MK as you had cancelled the EPCOT park pass.

I would fully believe that the VQ is just checking your eligibility - that once you have a boarding group, you should be good to go. (Like in the first couple of weeks of Remy that parkhoppers couldn't get a VQ spot after 2pm, then changed it to let them.)

If it does work - I would expect Disney to catch wind and close the loophole if people started doing it regularly. (Honestly, they could solve that by just enforcing the boarding group arrival times, which they've been relatively forgiving about in recent months.)

My sister has two for two different days right now. I actually created a thread on this topic a bit ago while trying to decide wherher to buy an AP, but I stopped posting on it after someone, um, turned the topic so that it became a question of whether or not it was a selfish approach. Unquestionably this would have been at one point, but few days are blocked out right now. Personally, I’d let it ride as long as the reservation bins are all open.

I can see that. I guess it’s more of an “I just don’t want to have to decide yet” kinda thing 😉 (and all the parks are wide open on those 2 days).

I say go for it. Good for you. And pls report back. I can say that I’d be super-ready to buy an AP if I could double burn park res and skip the stupid 2 pm rule. On non-selfish days, of course…

We are annual pass holders. Last week we had 2 reservations on the same day. We made reservations for Hollywood Studios and a bonus reservation showed up on MDE for EPCOT. We were able to enter EPCOT before 2pm after going to Hollywood Studios.

I had multiple park reservations last week, too (on 3 different days).

Just for kicks, I kept them to see what would happen and it didn't seem to matter at the park entrance at the first park. We did not try to hop to the other park before 2pm, though.

(before anyone comes @ me, there was ample park reservations available in all categories!)

Were you staying on site - guess what I’m asking is, did the res show up, or did you make it? Many thanks for this report!

Btw, just wanted to add that these res were made or adjusted after the new AP res system came out. So it seems to be either a glitch - or maybe it’s a legit loophole.
