Holding Account Question?

I'm such an airhead! I posted yesterday that we had to cancel two rooms for Saturday night next week and would take those points in the holding account and make a ressie for December. I called and checked and could get in at any resort for Dec. 19 - 23rd, 2004 and was so excited so I posted for opinions on where to stay at Christmas. It occured to me today that you can only reserve with holding account points two months prior to checking in. What do you think my chances will be of getting a 1 BR anywhere at WDW when I can't make reservations until mid-October? This wouldn't be that big of a deal, except that we're thinking that if we're there a week starting this Sunday and for four nights in December - then we'll get APs to use for both trips. Now I'm scared to get the APs if there's a chance that we won't be able to get the reservations calling in October. I really need some help from those of you with experience in holding account points at Christmastime.

It's very hard to predict. You are talking about dates that are close to Christmas but not into Christmas so you may get lucky. If you'll take any resort and possibly can even accept a variety of room types, something will probably come through. Be prepared that you might have to sweat it out on the wait list for a bit -- the 30 day mark sometimes opens up availability.
