I need a little advice about holding accounts:
We just returned from WDW where we had 12 nights in a BCV 2BR for my family of four, and 5 nights in studio for my BIL/SIL. We felt that we would be more comfortable with us in 2 units.
One of my daughters went home early... so we decided to cancel the studo, and cram all 5 of us into a 2BR for the last 5 nights... which gave me 70 points in a holding account.
My understanding is that these can only be used for reservations made within 60 days of arrival... and they cannot be be banked into next year. Since I have a March UY, I need to use, or rent these 70 points by March 1st.
I have two potential business trips to central Florida planned in the Nov timeframe. Maybe I will tack on a weekend and spend a few days alone with my DW there. Does anyone know if there is generally availability during that timeframe? We would want a 1BR unit.
My second question is renting points... Do you think that I would be able to rent the 70 points to someone easily... or do holding account points not have enough fleixibility to be able to make someone a reservation in time. I do not think (but I am not positive) that holding account points can be transfered to a different owner.
