Holding a place in line?

This woman was caught holding a place in line. As you can see, Disney security took care of it.

Assuming the bench was in the queue line, Grandma was in (still is in) the queue. Everyone walking by her will have to recognize that.

I'm picturing the restrooms in the Land. There are benches on the far wall, not where guests line up.

I'm also picturing an area like the Nemo show queue. The queue itself doesn't have benches, but benches are within view.

I'm also picturing some of the bus stops, like at the resorts. Where some guests line up, and some sit on the benches. I have seen plenty of disabled/senior guests blocked from boarding the bus by able-bodied guests- even though grandma arrived far ahead of the able bodied guests. when they finally board, the able bodies guests have hoarded all the seats.

I think the guests who rush the bus are the ones that are being rude in that situation, but they DO justify their conduct by insisting the elders were not standing in line.

Worse, some of the selfish guests hog empty seats with backpacks!

Mind, (I'm fairly confident) I have seen pure line-cutters WDW. I also don't think the OP should do as she proposed.

Actually I would wonder why they would let grandma limp through the park at all rather than using a wheelchair, WCV or even a rollator.

Ha! I dare anyone to try and force my mom into a wheelchair or rollator! :crazy2:

Have you worked with seniors? Most are not remotely eager to go gently into that good night!pirate:

Actually, yes. My MIL lived with us until she died at age 87. We took her to Disney many times and she finally realized she would enjoy herself better in a wheelchair the last few times. She walked as much as she could but had the chair when she got too tired. She tried an ECV and couldn't control it around people so we rented a regular wheelchair for her and took turns pushing. When someone can no longer stand on line for the bathroom as the PP said, it's time to have the talk with your loved one.

I wouldn't knock over an elderly person, but yeah, if you are on the bench you are not in line. And as Disney buses have few seats and more room for standing guests, maybe using the buses is not the best option for someone who is unable to even stand in the line for one.
