So I think we'll do it! Stay at HoJo's our 1st 2 nites then head over to PP for our last nite! Ideally we'd check out of HoJo's when we head to DLR in the morning (park will open @ 9am ~ CA not till 10am) Check in won't be till mid afternoon I'm sure but I figure they'd hold our stuff. How would you get from HoJo's to PP prior to park opening? It'll be me, my kids, my mom & grandma.

**we won't have a car (I'm assuming anyway)

I think the best way would to be drive down to Katella, turn right and then turn right again on Disneyland Drive.....or is it Disney Way? The other option is to get back on the freeway and take the Disney exit from there.....PP is on that street across from the GCH. I'm sorry if I have my street names wrong, I only did GCH once and PPH once so I'm much more familiar with HoJo's or the other Harbor hotels.....sorry....

We have stayed at the PPH several times. We have checked in early and the room has been ready. You might want to check, but they probably let you at least park your car in the garage or store your luggage if you do not have a car.

From Hojos you can just drive down harbour to Katella turn right up to Disneyland Drive, turn right, than left into the parking area. If you do not have a car I guess get a taxi. Maybe some other folks have other transportation ideas.

In a perfect world, I would get all ready the night before with *everything* packed but toothbrushes and next day's clothes. Then early early call a cab, check out of HoJo, and bring it all over to PPH. Store it all with them and go have a lovely day.

In the actual world, when we moved from PPH to HoJo, we got everything ready, then in the morning we had an argument about how slow someone (truly don't know if it was me or hubby) was moving, and hubby ended up loading everything into the *car* while DS and I went to the parks. :headache: Then we met up later. Since we had parking at PPH until midnight day of checkout, we just left the car there until we were done, then went back to PPH and drove to HoJo to check in.

I don't recommend staying in the world I actually live in, LOL. Try to do the cab/early morning/everyone chip in and help thing, and get everything moved over in the morning (and don't leave stuff in cars in parking lots! I have GOT to stop doing that!).

personally I would call a cab to take you over since you will be bringing your stuff with you...then you can do an early check in and yes they will hold all of your luggage and will deliver it to your room once you get in to it...now if you have minimal luggage like back packs and maybe a rolling smallish suitcase or so then you could, if you wanted to walk across the crosswalk and go through security then go through DD to the outskirts of DLH and turn left before you hit the hat and that will lead you over to PP...but again personally I would call a cab:laughing:

We just did this in September and we just checked out in the morning at about 8:00 am, had Hojos call us a cab and it cost about $12.00 with a nice tip.
We then checked in and she gave us our keys and a number to call later. She told me that we would be provided our room # when we called and we wouldn't even need to go to the front desk.
We then checked our luggage with the bell captain which is right near check-in.
We did call later from a phone booth in the parks as our cell phones did not work there, got our room number, returned to the hotel and went straight to our room and called the bell captain to get our bags.
Since there are so many of you, it might be easier to have one of you, maybe you, take the cab with all the luggage and take advantage of the bell captain who will help you with your bags and do all the check-in while your mother, grandma and children have breakfast or something.
One thing that I wanted to mention is that apparently California Adventure does not keep all of their lights on at night all the time.
When we were there in September, the park shut down at 6:00 pm. We had gone to the pool and came back to see all the pretty lights on at about 8:00.
I admired them, went to get the camera and then they all went out!
It was a real bummer!
Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay there!
