HoJo's to Hollywood area

We will be staying for a week at HoJo end of June to July 4th. Yeah...I know about the crowds!

Anyhow, I'd like to take 1 day and do a tour of the Hollywood area, show my daughter the Hollywood sign, maybe do a tour of NBC or Warner Bros. studios.

I don't think we'll do Universal - too much amusement park - I'd like to really do a studio tour.

I'd love it if there was a tour bus to Hollywood, so I didn't have to do the driving.

Anyone know of a tour bus from the HoJo area up to Burbank area?

If not, about how long will it take me to drive up there? Any suggestions on the best way to go?

I do not know of any tours, but I can help you with the drive part. What day are you planning to go, weekday or weekend, and what time of day (very important factor around here)?

I plan on making the trip on a weekday - probably after breakfast. Say, Thursday, maybe?

We're in Anaheim from Monday, June 28 til Sunday, July 4.

I am flexible, if there is a better day/time, I'll gladly do the drive whenever the traffic will be the lightest.

Yeah, I know it's never "light", but I'll go whenever it's best.

Later to mid morning would be better if possible. Anytime around 8 to 9 or 9:30 will be crowded. From the center of Anaheim to the center of Burbank is 35 miles and will take you about an hour mid-morning (could be worse or better depends on traffic). You can take the 5 freeway north bound straight to Burbank. If you have addresses, you can always run a Yahoo Map before you leave, or the hotel will direct you I'm sure. Sorry I do not have any tour information. I have lived in So. Cal all my life and have never done a tour, but love doing them when we travel. You learn so much about the area on those tours. Hopefully someone else can help you here. Good luck!!
