Hojo's kid suite vs. Queen Disney View

I just can't seem to decide.

We were excited about the Queen Premium Disney view room. I'd love to see the fireworks, etc. but....

sometimes my sis snores when she's really tired which is easy to happen at Disney and my older daughter (9) has a really hard time sleeping if that happens so...

I was considering the kid's suite and I could sleep in the room with the girls and my sis could take the king bed. I'm a bit disappointed that the square footage is less than the regular king or queen suites but it would be nice to have the separate rooms and bathrooms.

But then... how is the freeway noise from the kid's suite? Will it be worse than the possible snoring factor?

I am really torn.

Thoughts?

I've only stayed in the kids' suite so I can answer the freeway noise question. It's pretty noisy...IF...you open the sliding door to the small porch. There's nothing to see out there so we never opened up the sliding door and the freeway noise was not an issue at all. Never even heard it.

If you have a snorer in your group then I would absolutely choose an option that gets you your own room. But that's just me...I get really bothered by snoring.

BTW, the kids' suite was really, really nice

I've stayed at the premium Disney view rooms and we weren't in the room enough to even see Disneyland...

Either way, any room at the Hojo is good.

I've only stayed in the premium rooms. We spend enough time in the room to make it worth it. Yes, the trees do not allow for a completely unobstructed view, but the view is still great to see the park, fireworks, etc. We come back during the day for a rest and do not stay super late in the park either. We like floors 5 or 6 best. 6 being the preferred. They consider floor 4 to be an upper floor, but you don't get as good of a view. Floor 7 is the top and they have skylights that really affect sleeping. I hope this helps.

If snoring is going to be a huge issue, either get earplugs for yourself or you'll need to go the kids suite route.

Paying the extra $ for the view is not worth it. There are too many trees. After doing that once we now stay in the Deluxe Rooms in Bldg 2 and love them. Depending on what room you have (4th floor rooms are best) you can see some fireworks from there or you can go down to the first floor and walk out the back door where the parking lot is and watch them right there. The best thing about that room is I can watch the monorail go by and hear the train when it is at the tomorrowland stations. We can also hear announcements made in the park from our balconly. It makes the whole trip more magical.

What building are the sky lights in? And are those rooms considered premium, deluxe, or?

The sky lights are in Bldg. 1. We stayed in a skylight room. There is enough room to put an air matress by the patio door. It is an area off to the side, not right in the way. Some rooms have a better view of the Matterhorn than others. The rooms are very large and comfortable. You can also see the Pirate Pool on this side.
