HoJo's AP Policy Clarified

I know that there has been some confusion and conflicting information floating around about when AP rates can be applied to your stay in relation to when you show the AP at the front desk.

Well, here is a message from Hojo's GM on their bulletin board confirming their official policy. Yay! As usual, HoJo comes through!

The Annual Pass may be presented at any time (including checkout), and the discount rate will be applied to all nights in which the discount is eligible. If the reservation was booked at a different rate or discount and the AP is presented at check-out or during the stay, then the discount applied will be based on the AP discount (either the 20% or the ~50%) which was available on the date of arrival.

Now, do I need to change my reservation from the Dis discount to AP discount or will that not matter now. We are only 99% sure we are upgrading to AP's...so if we don't upgrade, can I still get the Dis discount? I am sure HoJo will honor the Dis if we don't get AP's... right?
