HoJo Room Requests?

We'll be staying at the HoJo for the first time next month with a DL view. There's a chance we'll have to miss out on the fireworks at the park as our DD might not be able to stay up that late. I'd love for my DH and older DD and I to be able to watch the fireworks from our room so I'd like to request a room as high up as possible. Can you hear the music from the hotel?

Would you email Willie using the HoJo email I've seen posted on the boards or would you call? I don't want to bother them with a phone call if an email will work just as well.

TIA!!

I'm not sure how important fireworks are to you, but would your younger DD do better if you all took a later afternoon nap/down time and then tried to rouse her to stay up until 10:00? Or less ideal would be if your hubby would go back to the room while you and older DD got to stay and then "parent swapped" for another night? Would provide an opportunity for each parent to bond with child one on one.

Great idea! Unfortunately this is a really quick trip for us and we're only doing one day at DL so I didn't want to go back to the room for a nap - she's good about napping in her stroller. We are leaving the next morning and I wanted her to get a good night's sleep so she isn't a monster on the plane!

The room you want is called a "Premium Disney view room".

As you can expect from that title it costs more (though not a lot more). It is seperately listed on their website, but if they are not full they will usually upgrade you to it for free if you ask.

It also has the added bonus of facing away from the traffic, so is a lot quieter.

Thanks! We have a DL view room booked - is this different from the Premium Disney view or are they both the same?

I am pretty sure that any room with a DL view is considered a premium room. I think that you are both talking about the same type of room. Sometimes HoJo's uses different terminology to describe the room types.

Just email them and explain exactly what you want, if it's available they will be sure that you get it. They are absolutely wonderful about accommdating requests for views, etc....

I just now called (11/17/07 2:40 p.m. Pacific time) and spoke with somebody there in reference to getting a room 4th floor or higher. I requested a quiet room. The girl who answered was very friendly and suggested something in the middle of the hallway, and not the top floor to avoid the skylights. So there you go. We'll see if we get a room for that. The girl who answered said she would forward this information to the manager. I'll post a followup to this once we get back from Disneyland (we will be there for three days, from 12/01 - 12/03). :woohoo:

Ummmm, do you realize you are posting to a thread that is over 2 years old? :rolleyes1

I know, I know. I'm very aware the post prior to mine was in 2005. However, in the context of the original question, this pseudo-bump of a post of mine may help someone else who's wondering if arrangements can be made at the HOJO ahead of time. Most of us assume it can. Heck, even I do, but some folks need it spelled out in a forum topic to feel more re-assured.

And so I post in this thread and will post again in just a little over two weeks.

Good lookin' out, though! :thumbsup2
