A couple of questions about the HoJo... Do they have a free continental breakfast? What kind of cribs do they provide (are they like a pack n' play)? Also, are the kid suites very noisy, since they face the freeway?
Thanks for your help!

I can answer one. No breakfast at the hotel. I'm sure other people will be able to answer the rest of you questions.

We stayed in one of the kids' suites a couple of weeks ago and loved it. We were on the 6th floor, the end closest to the freeway. The noise was noticeable when we first walked in, but we got used to it really fast and didn't notice it much in the 6 days we were there. The kids (9, 6, and 3) didn't mention it at all, so I assume they didn't notice it. It just wasn't an issue for us.

Not sure about the cribs.

A note about the fridges: They are turned off when you go in (there is a note there letting you know you need to turn it on). I turned the knob inside as far as it would go and our milk froze. It only froze in the door, not on the shelves. Even when I turned it down partway it still froze. So you might not want to store your milk in the door of the fridge. :)

We used their crib last week. It's closer to a full size crib on wheels and we brought sheets from home so the baby would be more "at home."

HOJO's has a small, but very well stocked gift shop in one of the buildings near the front of the hotel. In the mornings, would head to their gift shop, and pickup individ cereals, milk, danishs, etc. Their prices were not that bad, and it's cheaper to get simiple breakfast items at their gift shops than to go to a restaurant and eat breakfast. Hope that this helps.

do they only sell individual cereals or can you buy a large box? Does anyone know where you can buy one without driving? Loaves of bread? Peanut butter?

We brought our own large boxes of cereal, peanut butter and honey. I bought a loaf of bread (Albertson's brand) in the HOJO gift shop for I think $3.95. I'm sure they would have peanut butter there as well.

Thanks. Since we're flying I was trying to see if I could get away with only handluggage to avoid the luggage fees. Might be worth my time to pay the $15 a bag and stock up with food!

Seems to me I remember reading that Vons store does grocery delivery to Hojo's.... I remember someone saying their groceries arrived there before they did, and the staff at Hojo's put everything away in the fridge etc. for them! Maybe check out the Vons grocery store website? then contact Hojo's and ask them about it?

You guys are so good! I think you answered most everything that the OP had asked! :goodvibes

Just to reiterate::
Breakfast:: We don't provide breakfast here, but there is a Mimi's Cafe right across the street that serves a wonderful breakfast! Also, our Gift Shop has little individual boxes of cereal and oatmeal [no big boxes, I'm afraid!], danishes, muffins, cereal bars, meal bars, Pop-Tarts, juice, milk, fruit, etc. We also sell bags of bagels, cream cheese, loaves of bread and honey, peanut butter, jelly and lunch meats.

Cribs:: Our cribs are standard cribs with wheels. We actually don't provide Pack-N-Plays. We do provide sheets/blankets for the crib, but I definitely second the suggestion that supplementing that with familiar blankets from home helps to make it cozier. :cloud9:

Kids Suite Noise:: This one is pretty subjective, I think. For me, personally, the sound in the freeway facing rooms is not bad at all [when the balcony doors are shut]- but I do know that other people who are from quieter areas where there is no street/traffic noise to be heard generally tend to feel that those rooms are very noisy. We do have ear-plugs available upon request at our Front Desk for guests who need a little more quiet- so please don't hesitate to ask us if you find that you need them! :thumbsup2

Grocery Delivery:: This is a really great option! Right now however, the grocery stores that deliver are only able to accept orders from guests who live in the United States and have a US Billing Address.

I hope that this helps! :goodvibes
