HoJo prices UP

Not sure if I'm going to DL this year. But I was just checking HoJo for prices during the time I usually go. I always use the AP price because if I go to DL, I know that's the route I'm going.

But this time, I noticed that prices are up quite a bit from the past. For the same time span and for the same room, it's looking like over $300 more (for a week-long trip) than last year. That's over a 20% increase. I know they just did a refurb on the superior rooms late last year, but all the rooms are seeing a big bump in price.

Maybe I'm just looking too early (usually wait until Feb or March). But I just thought I'd pass on the info. I know there's a lot of HoJo lovers like me on these boards. But if they price themselves too high, I doubt the love will continue.

I just found my reservation for staying early March 2016 compared to the rate I am paying this March and the price went up 4% over the two year period. That is based on booking about 9 months in advance as well. It could be that prices well into 2018 have increased though, we have seen an increase year after year but certainly nothing as drastic as 20%.

It's not only the HoJo, it seems to be a general trend. The Desert Inn and Suites has drastically increased in price as well. For the dates I am looking at it is even a little over 20 percent compared to last year.

Thanks for the heads up, that's a bummer. Does anyone know if they've finished the refurb of the Kids Suites?

I think Building 1 is supposed to be done by the middle of our trip - we were booked in the kids suites starting March 2nd for 8 nights, and they were supposed to be done (I thought they were just renovating the other rooms and not the kids suites and that building 1 was just under too much construction to be occupied at all though).

They contacted us and offered us other comparable accommodations which works out great but the new estimate is to have building 1 open before March 10th I think.
