HOJO Premium Room upgrade?

Hi - I have six nights booked through Disney at HOJO's. I already contacted HOJO's directly and was able to secure an upgrade to Deluxe. I really want the Premium upgrade. I've been trying to check hojoanaheim.com daily to see if any Premium rooms open up (and then I would call to upgrade), but I have not gotten lucky yet.

Any tips on when rooms open up? I was just wondering if there was a pattern to try to follow or if it's just plain luck.

Thanks!

I'm not sure when you're going, but it's really just luck. The HOJO has a 48 hour cancellation policy, so people could cancel with only a couple days notice. All you can really do is just keep checking daily so see if any premium rooms open up for your dates, and then jump on it before someone else gets it. I had to do that to score a kid suite for our trip last September....and it worked.

Hope it works out for you. Crossing fingers! :wizard:

Thanks for the info! So did you keep checking on line? Or did you call daily? Just wanted to make sure that the website was good enough to just keep checking that instead of calling. :)

I didn't get an upgrade but needed a day last October at hojo for the trick or treat party. I called the inhouse ressies everyday to every other day for 2 weeks lol but I got my day about a week before we left :)

What's the difference between regular room and premium?

We have a premium queen room booked in July...but really wanted a suite. So...have a suite booked 2 weeks later and are thinking of moving our dates.

Thoughts?

Premium is a Disney view room.

All of the kids suites are on the highway facing side of the building 1, so none of them have a Disney view.

The kid suites are very nice rooms for a family though, (we stayed in one in September for the first time), but having the view of Disneyland is really nice too (we've stayed in their premium rooms MANY times, and they recently took out some trees, really opening up the view - I was just there two weeks ago, and the removal of the trees made a huge difference. It was awesome.)

Both rooms types has pros and cons.....doesn't make the decision easy does it? :rotfl:
