hi, we are so excited to try hojo for the 1st time in november. couple questions...

pool towels: are they same size as bath towels, or a little bigger?

pool temp?? what should we expect for the end of november? will it be warm enough to swim? do they heat it pretty good? i think ive read the air temp should be around 80ish for that time of year....

also.....fridge, but no microwave, right?

thanks a bunch!

small bar size fridge. no microwave. the pool.. well i only experienced the spa. but it was nice

FYI, I stay at the NQQ1 premium rooms, and those have a microwave :)

As for November pools - I'm a temperature wimp, so I stay out of pools and general outdoor wet stuff when temp drops much below 80, so I'm not the best person to ask :)

We were there late spring or summer, can't remember which, last year, and thought the pool was kind of chilly. NOvember typically is not very warm. There can be some warm days, but don't count on it.

If I remember correctly, the pool towels at Hojos were no bigger than bath towels, but there were plenty of them if you need more than one.

There was a big discussion over the last year about the pool temp at Hojos, with Lorealle going so far as to take a dip and give her opinion. We were in the "garden pool" on a hot day last October and it felt chilly to us. The general consensus on the thread had been that it was a little chilly but I suppose if the air temp is lower, it might not feel so bad. Here is that thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2293299

In December 2008, we were swimming (though not at Hojos, at the Ramada Maingate) on the morning of our departure and had used the hot tub each evening after the parks. Relative to Colorado, it will feel like mid-summer and perfect swimming weather.

I was literally in that pool two days ago and I thought it chilly. But it was 80 degrees outside. :)

The pool towels are small and super thin. My DH is a big guy and we were laughing and joking how it just hung on his shoulders and went to his mid back. It was fine for me 5'4", normal weight.

and in the two queen room we had a fridge and microwave. Both worked great and did their job superbly!

Have a blast. It was my first time at HOJO and we enjoyed it so much.

ok, thanks for the replies!

we will bring cover-ups for walking back to room since towels are not big.

im a pool temp snob too!:scared1: but dh & dd will go in no matter what.

we are in a regular 2 queen room.....so, do you think we will get a microwave?

its getting close now....cant wait!!

thanks again!:wizard:
