HOJO Laptop Safe

Just wondering if anyone knows the dimensions for the in room safes at the HOJO? I want to bring my laptop but it's a widescreen and I am worried it may not fit.

My Compaq is 14"X10" and it did not fit. I have stayed at HOJO's many times and left it in a zipped suitcase with no problems.

I keep my laptop in its case. I am of the mindset that the maid isn't going to risk her job over a laptop (especially mine with 2 missing keys). I would venture to guess over half the rooms have laptops, some probably right out in open, on & not pass word protected.

Ours are 15 x 10 and we've fit both laptops and a handgun in there no problem.

We always bring our laptop and rely on a laptop lock, which is a cable you loop through the frame of the desk and attach to the laptop.

As disneychrista pointed out, it's *highly* unlikely any housekeeper would make such an obvious theft because there's too much risk involved. Each room's access is electronically monitored and every unlock transaction is recorded by who's card was used to enter. If anything is stolen, they can't break a desk, cut a cable, or take a suitcase because that will just point right back to them and the hotel will prosecute.

But I also need to point out that the HOJO staff have been particularly honest, so even with writing the above I don't want to give the impression that I feel uneasy about my belongings at the HOJO. We had housekeeping leave the tip money where they found it because I didn't make it clear enough it was intended for them.

I always bring my iPad and my Macbook Pro and even usually leave them sitting on the bed lol, they've never once done anything but move them to the desk for me while they make my messy bed I have stayed nowhere else but HoJo and trust them completely. They're a great hotel
