We loved Hojo and I would have to say for the money it is the best value in California. We just loved it and it was a quick walk to the parks! I can't imagine that the DLH is that much closer (if you walked through downtown disney).

Thanks! I love doing the reviews and being able to see where I am going to stay. I should have done it live and walked around the room so you could really see how nice it is. Brochures and pictures online from the hotel itself can always look nice, but sometimes be scary.

We really loved Hojo though and I totally would recommend it to all! My mom is really picky about where she stays and she also enjoyed it.

Are the pools in Anaheim open year round? Or just in the summer? We are going in Nov and I know ds1 would have a blast in the kiddie pool.

They are open year round. Just a heads-up, they are in the process of rennovating the main pool area to inclue a Pirate themed pool with slide. It will be complete by the end of next month. I believe they will still have the beach entry kiddie pool, but I'm not certain.

Acording to the Hojo website, Speedy's Playground (menioned above) will remain after the new Pirate themed pool construction.

We have a very conservative estimate that Castaway Cove will reopen at the end of July, and that its hours of operation will be 9a-12a for the whole of the facility, with the Pirate Ship closing at dusk [Speedy's Sprayground, the Wading Pool & the Hot Tub will remain open for use until 12a].

Andrew (the manager) looked it up and it was a Simmons beautyrest. I don't know if they have different styles and types, but that is what she told me when I asked this evening.
