HoJo Ent Rate Xcel Policy Before Changes and Other Vents :(

Thank you, again, Jonathan, for responding and taking care of these issues. It's much appreciated. :)

OK so Jonathan sent me a PM :thumbsup2 and I PM'd him my info last night. This morning bright and early I got a cancellation confirmation - except the the attachment was a regular confirmation for the reservation.

So I emailed and got a nice response asking for my info (even though it was in the email under their reply), I sent it again and got an interesting question - "do you want to cancel the reservation?". So I emailed back that yes I wanted to cancel it. Got a response that it was cancelled - but I did not get a cancellation number. So I had to email back to get it.

I know, I know I should have just called :surfweb: but I did not think it would take so much back and forth.

I think its always a good practice to ask twice before canceling your reservation. Instead of feeling like a double step is something for your security.

I will staying for my first time at HOJO at the end of this month. Im really looking forward to it.

I'm curious how people booked the ent rate in January for November?! They had dates available that far out? I haven't seen any updates to the ent rate calendar in a long time.

Actually, they have updated it, but just a couple of days here or there. No big bulk releases.

I've also been noticing how sparse the Retro rate dates have become. They used to provide retro rates for just about any dates that could be remotely considered low season, other than weekends (and actually, my reservation includes a Friday night at retro rate, quite a bonus). Alas, no more.

In early January, they released a whole slew of retro rate dates, throughout the whole year. As I said, if it was anything like low season, it was likely that your date was there. But once those were snapped up, they've released very few additional dates.

Their calendar now shows Jan-Aug of next year, all with the notation of N/A (not available). I'm real curious to see if they'll open up more dates when next year actually rolls around.

Perhaps Jonathan can address this for us. Jonathan, is it your policy that retro rates will be less available in the future? Will you release a reasonable number of 2012 dates as time goes on? Thanks.

-Bob
