Lucas: Lucas looked at the teacher in surprise. What did the Head of Slytherin and DADA teacher want with him? The kid that had left wasn't in his house, there wasn't much that the prefect could do. Luke turned to August and said in a low voice, "It's fine August, I'll be back, it's probably just some sort of prefect thing." Luke then stood up, still confused, and asked, "Is there something wrong Professor?"

Veronica: Veronica glanced worriedly at her Head looking agitated and speaking to some Hufflepuff student she didn't recognize. What was going on? She hoped everything was okay and didn't understand what was going on.

Professor Linus: The professor said nothing. He just handed Lucas a small note that read, “Come to edge of the Dark Forest between 5 and 6 pm tomorrow night. Come alone." Then the professor stumbled off.

OOC: taking a minute here

Lucas: Lucas took the note and read it, a puzzled look on his face. He sat back down, clearly confused by the turn of events. He shrugged at August. He wondered who would want to meet him. He lived with his godfather, his parents as well as many of his relatives were dead.

Veronica: Veronica helped herself to a slice of cake. "Thank you, but really, I didn't really have anything better to do." Nic had a few bites of cake as she thought of how to answer that awkward question. Finally she just decided to answer truthfully. "I don't have any." This was quickly followed by an indifferent shrug and more cake.

Arya: "Oh.." Arya says awkwardly, not really knowing how to respond. "Well.." she paused, noticing some of her friends glancing at them. "Why don't you have any friends?" Arya blurted out. She was gonna ask Veronica to be her friend, but she could feel her friends judging. What was with this girl? Why doesn't she have any friends?

Veronica: Veronica shrugged. "Well, I'm a 'pureblood', but I'm not prejudiced; I see everyone as equals, so apparently I'm a blood traitor and a house traitor." She stopped to roll her eyes not caring about the looks that many of the elitist fellow Slytherin students were throwing her. "And you know how the other houses react to Slytherins, apparently we're all evil." This triggered another eyeroll from Veronica. "Thankfully there are books," she finished.

Professor Linus: For the 4th time that night he enters the Great Hall and grabs a seat next to Professor Evan Smith. “Evening Evan."

August: August wasn't sure if he should ask, but his curiosity won over. "What was that about?"

Professor Smith: "Good evening, Mikial. How are you? It's nice to be back, though I must say, I envy these students. So many pranking opportunities." Evan was an adult, and a professor, but there was a part of him that never grew up.

August: August wasn't sure if he should ask, but his curiosity won over. "What was that about?"

Lucas: Lucas glanced at August. "Honestly? I have no idea." He shoved the note, which he knew did not come from his godfather, into his pocket.

August: "That's strange, then." August looked down at his plate and pushed the remainder of his food around with a fork. He was running out of things to say.

Linus: “Always with the pranking. I gave you a fair share of detentions when I taught you. Will you ever grow up and act your age?" He took a deep breath and let out a very large cough.

August: "That's strange, then." August looked down at his plate and pushed the remainder of his food around with a fork. He was running out of things to say.

Lucas: "It is quite strange," he agreed. Lucas was pretty good at keeping conversations going though, so he thought of something an immediately asked it. "So, got any idea on what you want to do in the future? I know in the spring fifth years have a meeting for career counseling with their head of house, but I'm still trying to figure out what to do. I'm not sure yet, but I could go play quidditch maybe, if I'm good enough."

Veronica: Veronica shrugged. "Well, I'm a 'pureblood', but I'm not prejudiced; I see everyone as equals, so apparently I'm a blood traitor and a house traitor." Arya: That's really cool, Arya thought. She had spent many years talking bad about mudbloods and other houses even though she hadn't felt the same way. But, she couldn't give up her act now, could she? "Well that's.. unfortunate." Arya responded, turning back to her friends. She got back into her friends' conversation, but glanced at Veronica. I wish I could be more like her, Arya thought.

August: "Oh gosh. That seems so far off. I haven't really given it much thought. I guess my dream job would be a journalist or photographer for the Daily Prophet. But I would of course make my pieces more truthful than the current ones."

Linus: “Always with the pranking. I gave you a fair share of detentions when I taught you. Will you ever grow up and act your age?" He took a deep breath and let out a very large cough.

Professor Smith: Evan grinned amusedly. "What? I'm only thirty, I reckon I have a few more years before I have to start thinking about being mature. Besides, I'm pretty sure the students like me the way I am." He felt it was true, he was a casual person with a sense of humor and he was very lenient with punishing troublemakers unless another staff member was in the room, everyone knew it. "Yes, I remember your detentions, they were particularly tough. I'm pretty sure you didn't like me." This was followed by a smirk as he remembered several occasions where he had pranked Mikial Linus' Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Lucas: Lucas gave him a sympathetic grin. "When I was your age, it seemed pretty far off to me too. But it's always good to at least be thinking about the future, even if you don't make any decisions." He then nodded in approval. "I expect that would be a cool job, getting all the news before everyone else does. And I've always thought the paper should be more truthful."

Veronica: Veronica nodded, it was unfortunate all the prejudice she had gotten for not being prejudiced. It was a strange world they lived in. Veronica was kind of glad when Arya had gone back to talking to her friends. Nic would be lonely again, but she didn't want to condemn Arya to the same fate of being practically outcasted, not when she clearly had more years to go than Veronica did.

Professor Smith: Professor Smith rolled his eyes. "You think I don't know that Mikial? I might have a sense of humor a little large for a professor, but Jay hired me for a reason." Evan didn't comment on the last part, he didn't know if it deserved a comment. He and Linus didn't exactly spend a lot of time together. He was, however, careful to remember the mention of plans. He didn't think it would be too evil or dangerous, but it might be best to keep an eye on him anyway. He was the head of Slytherin.

August: August nodded. He had no idea if he would actually go into journalism, but it was just his go to answer when people asked. "If the whole Quiddith thing doesn't work, what do you want to do?"
