Sheila: "I was going to keep it from you. I feel awful, but we both agreed that we were going to keep it a secret."

Phyllis: Phyllis felt a blast of rage. She said, "I thought we weren't supposed to keep secrets from each other."

Sheila: Sheila then continued to cry loudly. She said, "I didn't want you to do something rash."

Phyllis: "I wouldn't do anything rash."

Sheila: "I know. I wish he-"

Phyllis: "Things happen. Troy loved you."

Georgie: she wrote back. 'I just want to go home, Mel. I was hit by a curse. It got worse. I want Evan to take me home and stay there with me and have that be that. I don't want anything to do with this bloody school anymore.'

Eris: Eris finally bid farewell to her uncle. She knew that nobody liked him, not even his staff wanted anything to do with him. She knew that it was because he was a former death eater, in the Battle of Hogwarts if she was correct. But the fact that no one could befriend her, that was unsettling because she normally thought she was very nice.

Melanie: She was saddened by this. Hogwarts meant so much to her, more than anyone could understand. It was where, after years of living with her family, she finally had safety and comfort, and another sort of family. She was dedicated to the school, and somewhere inside she knew she couldn't just leave it. "All right, I-I'm sorry."

Eris: Eris ignored the people around her. None of them really mattered to her anymore. Besides, so what if she didn't have any friends? Eris was still her own best friend, which counted for far more than anything.
