Hogwarts RP part eight.

Harriet: "Why thank you, Cian. I appreciate that."

Cian: "I will not tolerate sarcasm. Allowing your students and idiotic professors death is not ministry approved, even if there is no reason they should be allowed life. Surely you do not lack common sense?"

Lori: "Come on, I know you know me from somewhere. Just think, I was the first year who died two years ago. The only one."

Friend: "Oh geez, this one seems to be a bit confused. I mean, she's been way to busy reading history stuff in the library. She's so tired."

Lori: "The library! I haven't set a solid foot in the library since two years ago before I died!"

Friend: "She's creepy!" The girl ran away with all her friends.

Lori: Lori ran down the hall, flung her books to the side, raced over to the sink in the girls' bathroom, gazed at her reflection in the mirror and wondered if she really looked that different.

Lori: All Lori could do was sit down and think about all she had done these past few weeks. She was incredibly useless to her brothers and to her friends. Her friends didn't even remember her. She had only gotten captured by Phyllis and played damsel in distress just so her brothers could come save her instead of doing something really useful.

Hufflepuff Girls: They were laughing and talking as they walked into the bathroom. Then they caught sight of Lori and began to whisper among themselves. It was no secret that they didn't like her. Then they threw paper at her and ran out of the bathroom as they called her crazy.

Lori: Lori wondered what she had done wrong. It seemed that no one remembered her and it seemed that no one wanted to be around her. Lori thought about how excited she was about being back to life and she never realized until now that this would mean she would have no friends among Hogwarts students.

Cian: "I will not tolerate sarcasm. Allowing your students and idiotic professors death is not ministry approved, even if there is no reason they should be allowed life. Surely you do not lack common sense?"

Harriet: she sighed. "Cian, there is nothing I can do to prevent these deaths. If I could, I would, but this is Hogwarts. It's different then the rest of the world. In hogwarts, you can do everything you can in your power to protect the school, and something still happens. And surely you know I am doing everything in my power to protect this school." she turned and fixed some papers on her desk. "Everyone should be allowed life, Cian. No matter who they are. Many of the people who have died at Hogwarts were saving another person. They are heroes, and they deserve life ten times more than me or you. But they decided to give it up to let someone else keep theirs. That is the highest sacrifice you can ever make."

Mari: "So what are we going to do that's so special, Chrissy?" she asked, holding one of his hands in both of hers.

OOC: This took me an hour to write, but I've finally finished! :)

Melanie Jane Black

Then: Melanie was originally intended just to be that kind, loving teacher whom everyone loved. She was supposed to have the name Black but not be part of the Black family. When I signed her up I made a teacher only because I didn't think I'd be on much and I wanted to have a way to force me to get involved/still be able to post because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to keep up. The basis of her character originated when I read the HP series for the first time (2010) as a Hogwarts student, and stayed that way until I imagined her as an adult a few weeks before the sign ups for this thread. Coincidence? I think not. This being said, all I knew about her was that she was kind and loving and (originally) taught transfiguration. I cannot tell you how happy I am now that that class was already taken.

Now: All I can say is wow. I've never had a character that was so developed so much I knew how she would react in any given situation. In fact, all my past characters I've created for things have not really developed at all. She has grown so much as a character, yet she's still got the personality and possibly a bigger heart than I originally imagined. Linus really forced me to look into her childhood, which helped a lot. I imagine that as a little girl at Hogwarts she was soft and caring and sweet and loved everyone. She's got a way of doing things when she's having a certain emotion that no one can tell the significance of unless they really know her, such as her curling up in her chair only when she's upset. She also doesn't explain things well when she's upset, either. She looks people in the eyes occasionally to get something across that only they need to know or she can't handle telling. They're little things, but they're what make her her. Also, she does like more muggle things than most because she grew up acting like one up until her mother's death. That, of course, really was the basis for everything that's happened to her. Nessie said Mel was a strong character-that made me really happy, as I thought everyone would view her as the opposite (which I do not. I agree she is strong). And I really like the whole protection spell thing because it really does make sense. She can't bear killing anyone or harming them at all, so instead she is a very strong fighter who can cast a wickedly strong protection spell. She's also a lot more damaged than I originally imagined and is part of the Black family because she seemed to fit so well, with everyone being death eaters and such and her family all dying young. Her grandfather is the one who Sirius talks about in book 5 (he gave him gold when he ran away from home). That provided a place in the right generation where there was a burn so we couldn't see if he had any kids. That worked out perfectly, but it also means that Draco is her 2nd cousin and Bellatrix is her first once removed, as well as Sirius and Andromeda. She also has family responsibilities purely because I didn't want to make her aunt up myself (which, of course, I eventually did as another aunt, whom I tried to follow the constellation theme for the Black family but couldn't find anything I liked) so I chose Freya. That's what started that. Corbin is a miracle for Mel, because I never thought she would have someone. I also really have always liked the relationship she has with Evan. And if I were Wings I'd blame myself only, purely because it is my fault. I remember the moment I started this: they were in Jay's office and everyone knew something was up with Linus and Mel. Brandon and I had been plotting Azkaban and I didn't think she would go willingly (because she didn't trust him) without a back up plan, and with that I needed another teacher. Immediately Evan came to mind, probably because I knew he was only a year older than her. But really all that started it was her looking at him and saying his name after Jackson died the first time, and all this happened. And then Georgie came along and a whole bunch of other things happened with her. I will tell you one thing, though. There was a moment in the first thread (first battle I believe) where I felt as if she could go two ways concerning Evan. Either she could have a sibling bond or she could love him; both I could see clearly. However, I thought some more and decided to keep going the sibling path that we had already started to take and avoid that possibly heartbreaking drama. And I know I killed her. I did, and I'm sorry. But, for those of you who I haven't told, I chose how she died and her murderer for a reason. She died saving Luke. If you guys remember the beginning of the first thread, Linus threatened Luke, and Mel has been worried about him the whole time. So she would die saving him (a student, as I always imagined she would), someone who she loved and was fond of, by her aunt which just fits I guess. But, as my signature says, there is all the difference in the world that she died willingly, seeing the spell coming, rather than being hit unknowingly or by accident.

Holly Stokes
Then: She was created merely because I wanted a student. She was supposed to be that character who had very strong opinions on everything.

Now: Well, she's much more calm now and, apparently, is "always right," according to Lucas and Jackson. I can see her hanging out with not only her friends who are girls but being able to talk to boys unawkwardly and unflirtingly and just be friends. I like that about her. She's also very knowledgeable, even though not nearly as bad as Hermione with over achieving.

William Aldridge
Then: Well, he's still sort of new but I created him so that we could have a student who puts everyone at ease with his humor. Notice it's only humor and not pranks. He's a Hufflepuff because we didn't have many.

Now: Still the same, but he's a lot less geeky with his humor than at first. I like him.

Harriet: she sighed. "Cian, there is nothing I can do to prevent these deaths. If I could, I would, but this is Hogwarts. It's different then the rest of the world. But they decided to give it up to let someone else keep theirs. That is the highest sacrifice you can ever make."
Cian: A normal person would have been touched by her words-or something close to that-but Cian was not a good person. He was self-righteous and downright mean. "Everyone deserves a chance at life who willing to deal with the consequences of their actions. There is no reason for me to feel sympathy for a girl who was selfish enough to only feel sorry for herself. Don't look so surprised, Harriet. I happened to be on the board of school directors at the ministry, and, according to Ms.Black's file, she let her loved ones die. She could have prevented them: from the Azkaban break in this past September back to her seventh year alive she has killed; even at her youngest that little girl only had the heart for herself. We should be glad she is dead rather than grieving for the one behind many deaths."

Harriet: her eyes widened. She grabbed him and slammed him against the wall, her wand at his neck. "Get out. NOW!" she screamed. "You are never to come back to hogwarts if you value your life. I don't care if you're with the ministry, just-just go."

OOC: This made me sad.

I finished mine on the other page, my other charries arent' as developed as I wish they would be, I'll add them once I like them.

Harriet: her eyes widened. She grabbed him and slammed him against the wall, her wand at his neck. "Get out. NOW!" she screamed. "You are never to come back to hogwarts if you value your life. I don't care if you're with the ministry, just-just go."

Cian: "Yet another reason why you should not have been employed: you do not have self control. Unfortunately for the both of us my contract here at Hogwarts school is headed by the board of education. Only they may fire me."

On a happier note, I'm glad now that I didn't have Mel love Evan, because we wouldn't have Georgie as much as we do now:) That and I like her having a "brother".

Cian: "Yet another reason why you should not have been employed: you do not have self control. Unfortunately for the both of us my contract here at Hogwarts school is headed by the board of education. Only they may fire me."

Harriet: her lip twitched. "Get out of my office." she let go of him.

OOC: I'm really not sure what I want to do with Georgie... Listening to her theme song right now, but maybe only a little bit because I love this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQCKObiVzuk&list=PLoCbtaerTFKVVvfr_kUfiYrKtoVG0XE86

Cian: "Yes, headmistress," he said sarcastically. He left and went to Melanie's office, his new workspace.

OOC: Tonight is my Disney pandora/Phantom of the Opera music night. And I don't know. You mean like right now or eventually?

OOC: Tonight is my Disney pandora/Phantom of the Opera music night. And I don't know. You mean like right now or eventually?

OOC: Both, actually. I'm not sure what to do with her in general. I don't know if I should keep her crazy or not. Right about now she is cackling on the ground in Evan's office. My favorite songs that we've played in orchestra are POH, LOTR, and wizards in winter.

Harriet: she rolled her eyes and sat down next to her husband. She felt horrible. That was how her Harry died, saving her. He was her hero. She snuggled up next to him and he kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry."

Harry: "It's alright, love."

OOC:

Gabrielle:

Then: Gabrielle McLee was supposed to be that happy, peppy, geeky girl who was like all of my original rp characters.
Now: hmm, where to start. Okay. Gabrielle McLee/Xavier/Finch/Black has so many issues. She was bitten by a werewolf, and has grown to accept, then actually enjoy it, her boyfriend is always in danger, and that takes a toll on her. She never goes to class, and the most important thing to her now is the safety of Jackson.

Nagini:
Then: Supposed to be evil, heartless, manipulative, and hated by everyone. And that was indeed the case for some time.
Now: Nagini Heartman/Lestrange's life was changed by her brother, Melanie, and Joey. She realized that she truly did want to be good and had enough power to get through all of her problems, including fighting the woman who gave birth to her and who put a horcrux in her head. She has serious psychological issues now and Melanie's death isn't exactly helping.

Jolie:
Then: she was supposed to be this loner, shy girl who was pretty much an excuse for me to get a transfer student, I doubted she'd interact with anyone.
Now: Well, she is messed up too. She killed herself twice, and was in love with two guys at the same time. She thinks her brother hates her because she is with Jean Pierre and feels like a failure all the time.

Harriet:
Then: a nice Transfiguration teacher who was funny and was just there to be a teacher.
Now: she is pretty much my comic relief when Georgie is having issues (a lot). She hasn't had many traumatic things happen to change her, but she was forced into the position of headmistress, taken to azkaban, and her husband came back from the dead. She could still use developing.

Georgie:
Then: Just there for Luke's heritage to be revealed. Supposed to be clumsy, funny, and kind.
Now: (Oh gosh, here we go) She is crazy. That's all I have to put. Crazy, insane, and schizophrenic. She has a terribly low self esteem and still has no idea why Evan would chose to be with her. She is still kind and klutzy and hopefully still funny, but when she has her episodes that all changes and in her mind she becomes morose and depressed and absolutely hates herself for not being able to control herself. It seems that the more happens to her the crazier she gets. But, it is oh so fun playing her.

OOC: I think Georgie is still funny :) I kinda liked her before all the issues (who wouldn't?) but her episodes can be funny sometimes.

OOC: I think Georgie is still funny :) I kinda liked her before all the issues (who wouldn't?) but her episodes can be funny sometimes.

OOC: I try to lighten them up, but they're creepy in my head most of the time. She is my favorite character to play both insane and not insane. I don't know what to do! gah!

OOC: My plan for Mel was to have her get better about dealing with deaths (not blaming herself) and learning to trust that she can have someone in her life. I think it'd be good if she got almost better by the end.

OOC: Okay. I think I'll do that.

Georgie: as she laughed she stared up at Evan she reached her arm out and put her hand tightly around his ankle. "E-E-Ev-van." was all she was able to force out of her mouth.

OOC: I'm not even going to broach the subject of your new teacher because my new tactic is ignoring him completely in the hopes it will stress me less, So I apologize if I ignore some of your posts of Will or Holly Anney.

I like what everyone's written so far about their characters. I'm sure if I had less characters or one main character I focused on, I would know them as well as Anney knows Melanie.
