If you just missed the train at 9 3/4 platform, how long is the wait before the next train arrives? Is there just a single train going back-n-forth or 2 trains?

Trying to determine if it makes sense to do the train first thing at opening by basically going to the other park and getting on it to get to park you're doing for the morning.

Thx.

Wait is under 5 minutes. There are two trains on a pulley system that run continuously.

Not sure when you are going, but the waits were short this week. We had early entry at the Studios, and it was suggested we get on the train from there at 8:50 to go to IOA and beat the crowds from the front entry to the Forbidden Journey ride. We rode back and forth a few times in the afternoon also with minimal waits, but the parks weren't terribly crowded this week.

I thought I read somewhere that the train didn't run until the next park was open? So 9am in your case?

I heard you can only ride the train once a day? so thats not true ( I hope)

That's was what was anticipated before Diagon Alley opened. That, however, has not been the case. You can ride as many times as you want.

Meanwhile we were there the day you wrote this, and we had a 45 min wait from US to IOA. Sigh.

Only when it first opened as far as I know.

Sorry to hear that! The longest wait we had was that first thing in the morning ride (had to wait for a second train). Every other time we rode - afternoon and evening - it was a walk on. My DD commented on all the barriers for lines set up inside the station, wondering if the line ever gets very long, and we decided maybe during busy times.

You were there too. Every day last week like clock work. HE would have a 10 minute wait in the morning then build to around 45 minute around parade time (and it was in both directions not just IOA to USF). Later in the even it would back off a little bit. I was able to walk on at 7:55 going from IOA to USF just missed the start of Cinematic Spectacular. There seemed to be a lot of Brazilians in Orlando last week both at Disney and Universal.

january is btg month.
we hit the large tours last january at the darkside.

DH had his undercovertourist app up and the wait going the opposite way was only 15 while we were waiting 45. Sad.

When we first got to diagon, the wait was 15. Doing it over I would have hauled the family into line, gone to Hogsmeade, turned right back around and gone back to experience the trip to Diagon. Then once done there and in the rest of US I would have taken the train or walked over to IOA. As it was, that 45 minutes destroyed our already short touring time with my aunt and her grandson.
