Well, as I am a transplannted Canadian, I am stoked that the players finally caved in and took the owners final offer, and the battle of EGOs is over.![]()
Time to get the greatest sport back in action. I like most of the rule changes, except the elemination of the 2 line pass.
I must agree, with Dr. Cavin, It will be interesting to see how well teams like Atlanta, Nashville, Columbus, and a few others do attendance wise this year. I am going to follow that on the NHL site. I felt that when the league was at 25 teams that was just about perfect. 30 is too much unless they put a team back in Canada, where attendence is pretty much automatic with the right arena.
Can't wait... GAME ON!!!

Second fav is Ottawa...they have a great chance of winning the cup.
Thrashers over Florida 3-2 in the opener
Sens over Maple Leafs 4-3 in OT
CharlesTD said:Actually they say Columbus is an up and coming hockey city it has been on teh rise for attendance and they have sold more season tickets this year than the previous years combined apparently. I am hoping for a team back in either Quebec or in Winnipeg both those cities deserve teams moreso than some of the american cities that have them.
Bin'sDH said:Wow I didn't know that about the Blue Jackets, I hope that they make it then. Ohio is so much closer to Canada, then say that Hockey hot bed of Southern Florida.
I predict that the Flames will will the western conference, and beat Philidelphia for the Cup!!
