Hockey fan with ESPN club question

Hi everyone!

We will be at Disney Nov 12-19 and I'm wondering if the ESPN restaurant shows hockey games or not. Our Senators will be playing Florida on the 17th and we were hoping to watch the game

I hope they are showing the games so that you can see it. My guess is that since they're playing Florida, they might be showing them!

Yes they usually do but that being said with Comcast taking over teh ESPN hockey rights this season they may not.

The SENS ugh almost as bad as the Leafs and the Dead Wings LOL.

We had to ask that they put a hockey game on one of the many televisions that they have. They tend to focus on football

ESPN also ended their hockey contract so chances of seeing a game there might be slim. We are thinking of heading to the "ale house" to make sure we see a game.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the "ale house"?

It's a sports bar near Downtown Disney. "Orlando Ale House". It's being talked alot on the "hotels and attractions" board. People say the food is very good and very well priced.

I'm going to be at Disney from Nov 13-18 and DF is especially excited to go to the ESPN club... we are Leafs fans... I would love to know if anyone has been there... we are into nachos and hockey!!!

We are also heading down for Nov 8 - 17. I think that the Ale House is probably a good place to catch a game. Always felt their service, food and prices were excellent. The last few times we were there were during the lock out last year and their staff actually knew what we were talking about when we mentioned it!

Just pray your goalie doesn't get hurt I predict it will be about Feb and he will pull up lame with a back problem or another phantom groin injury like in Detroit LOL then you will need to score 9 goals a game because you will need to make up the deficit from what the other teams are putting behing your backup goalie LOL. Not that Theodore has been playing all that well man we need to get a real goalie that has some consistency.

In early November there was a game on one of the smaller screens. Since it is a Florida team playing I think the chances are pretty good it will be on at ESPN. It would be a longshot if it was Senators - Wild. If you're in the area of the Boardwalk prior to game day drop in and ask, or call ahead.

Yep you did and we also need to get some of our top players back in the lineup from injury damn injuries LOL. Mind you we also need to get rid of Theodore he is terrible IMHO.

No not the pads it is the lack of talent LOL he is so inconsistent it is frighteneing and now Koivu is also out and so is Komisarek at this rate we will be calling up the bulldogs to play in place of the big club LOL.

In response to the original poster, were you at ESPN that nite? We ended up going on that nite in particular and our table and some strangers next to us asked the waitress to change the chanel for us. We ended up having 3 screens (one big screen) on with the game on.

We were there Thurs Nov 17th, and the leafs were on as well as the hurricanes (at the bar). We were in a booth on the bar side, so we had a tv to ourselves.
The table next to us had a couple of guys watching hockey as well (from TO I believe).

We had a good time, but we were losing 1-0 to Florida and decided to leave shortly before the third period... when we got back to the hotel we watched the sports ticker and found out we won 4-1!!!!
