I got great pricing threw my work for Ho jo's but for a standard room facing the highway (Ho jo's told me this) I asked if I could pay the difference for a premium room. They told me yes, its $15 per day. Doesn't seem like alot to me. Ho jo's told me that it is facing Disney, has fridge and microwave. We will be there 4 nights. Is it worth it? I read on tripadvisor you can't see Disneyland from their rooms, trees are blocking the view? Anyone been in the premium rooms and what am I get exactly???? It would be great to get a room that you could see the fireworks!

Thanks :)

They have actually cut down a lot of the trees in front of the rooms so you can see Disney a lot better :)

Depends.

The cheaper rooms face I-5 and some people who are sensitive to road noises complain about the loudness. If you are from the "country" and are used to quiet nights, then, Yes, upgrade.

I think the only real difference between these two rooms is the location and a microwave in the room. The standard room has a fridge, but no microwave.

We have stayed in both types of rooms, and the noise didn't bother us. You can turn on the "fan only" that goes with the A/C unit and it drowns out the freeway noise. If you open the balcony door you can really hear the noise...but with the door shut is it really muted.

So, if you are used to road noise and don't need a microwave, stay with a standard room. If you need a microwave or cannot handle road noises, upgrade!

1st trip I went with the upgraded room, the many many trips after we have went with the standard. We wont use the microwave , and I would rather save the extra money for the parks!

We stayed in a 4th floor premium room on our last visit and will do so again on our trip in a week's time.
We love being able to sit on our balcony and watch the fireworks on nights when we are too pooped to go to the park - that alone makes it worth the extra $$ for us.
