Ho Ho Ho, the Rebels are Jolly in December!

Ok everyone - one week to go! This time next week, those of us doing the Half will have medals around our necks and the Full folks will be carbo-loading!
I haven't checked in lately, but wanted to be sure to let everyone know that I'll be looking for all WISHers at the race! Here's our info:

We are going to try our best to be at the meet on Friday at 5pm at Pop! and we'll have our WISH name tags that we got from Tracey. I'm also trying to make a bib sort of thing to wear on my back with the WISH logo and Team Rebel Alliance logo on it along with my screen name and dailymile and AllCheers logo and my twitter name and well, ...you get the gist!

I haven't been able to get on here for a while and have missed so much.
Just wanted to say Kudos to all of you who have kept up with their races and training. I have been diligently working on my half marathon training. All is well. I am looking forward to next week and hopefully meeting some of you there.

Nicki Let me know about the Dream, DW and I were thinking about doing a cruise next year for vacation.

Liam Hope you have a good trip solo, I saw you found the solo trip thread. I think you will like BCV. If you decide you want Ice Cream I would walk over to Swan (or maybe Dolphin) they have a better Ice Cream shop and good Sushi place. I like the Martha's Vineyard lounge in BCV and the lounge in YC. If you are not on a dining plan you can get food in the lounges also.

deleckidesign Hope the knee feels better. remember RICE. Rest Ice Compression Elevation. I'd plan out a walk run ratio that has you finishing just ahead of the sweepers, and then if your knee feels good you can cut back the walking a little bit. You have 10 days, so I hope it heals on you.

DW and I ran 12 today, it was on her training plan for Princess. We ran it at a faster pace than either of her halfs last year, so she should be ready for a good race. I am going down to cheer.

Thanks Mike! I ran a mile yesterday and it felt great, but I cut it short so as not to overdo it! My husband is going with me since he got laid off, but hasn't been training much, so I am going to walk/run with him and that should keep my knees from hurting so much. Plus this will give us a chance to just enjoy the scenery and finish a race together!
 
Mike- Great job on the 12 miler on New Years Eve!! It is so nice to have a running buddy, even better a running Hubby!

Barb- I too will try to make it to the Pop meet. I originally thought it was on Thursday and will now have to just flip a few things around! What hotel are you staying at? I will be at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for a few nights and then transferring to Bonnet Creek timeshare.

Gretchen- Thanks for checking in! I know how easy it is for life to get busy!! I hope to see you down there as well!

deleckidesign- Glad the knee is feeling a bit better! Way to go on not overdoing it! I hope you and hubby have a great time!!! Any chance you are going to any of the meet ups?


AFM- So far so good! Did a nice "long" walk yesterday (4 miles). This week is just really short workouts to keep the body moving! Hubby and I leave on Wed for WDW!! SO EXCITED! I am going to be at the AKL and will try my hardest to make it to the POP meet up! I did get a name tag!

Where is everyone else staying? When are you coming and leaving? Bib numbers?
