Arrggghhh.......just get done scrubbing the dining room floor, on my wittle ol' hands and knees. I go to pick DH up from work only to come back and find........chocolate ground into the floor.....rolled over by the computer chair!!

Can you say angry/frustrated momma!?!!

I often wonder that. I have a cat who splashes in the water. Then the dogs and I walk in the water with our slightly dirty shoes/feet, and you have the endlessly muddy kitchen floor. Then the cats carry it up to the counter tops. It's ridiculous. I just cleaned it up (I'm on lunch break). When I get home from work, it will look like it hasn't been cleaned in a month.

At my mom's house, you can sweep three times a day and still get a huge pile of dog hair every time.

Someday I'll get a maid.

:sunny:

DW shares your frustration! We will have an empty nest come this August. Won't even have to clean DDs side of the house!

I think we are under some illusion that there really IS an end to it...

I feel that way about laundry, everytime I have everything in the baskets done and put away (which really isn't all that often)...I have a euphoric, satisfying moment of completion...until I realize all of my family members, including myself, are walking around in dirty clothing...argghhh

What a great post to read as I take a 10 minute break from my "one-week-before-Easter-and-I'm-hosting" frantic cleaning binge!! Actually, I'm hosting two dinners.... my family on Saturday and DH's family on Sunday. Most of them only see my house about once every two or three years, so I really want it to look its best. Repainted the kitchen, installed a new kitchen floor, new curtains for the kitchen, mudroom, and office, new art work and lamp for the living room, new chandelier for the dining room (and repainted the old one and moved it to the bathroom). We've been in high home improvement mode for the past month.... now it's time to settle into the real heavy duty cleaning!...............................P

because we know or are afraid company is coming
Spring cleaning at our house this weekend
my parent will be here for Easter on Friday

Oh I so do feel your pain. I just walked past the mirror and took one look at myself - tired to the bone from cleaning all morning and afternoon, and already its starting to look crappy around here again. One kid couldn't wait until I got downstairs to pour him some milk, need I say more? Blech. Enough already of the cleaning for today, I decided it was time for a DIS break. :p

<laugh> My daughter will tear our room apart in a matter of seconds. My bf asked me why I even bother to clean it :teeth:

I have a little boy and a large dog who work to make it dirty faster than I can clean it up! Oh, well... :D

I keep waiting until I have everything clean so I can start my SPRING CLEANING (sorting, organizing, and purging). . .I don't think I will ever get there. Maybe once the kids are grown and gone.

I try to figure this out every time I leave one room and go into another. It is like they are drop and go kids.....then I remember that someday they won't be living with me and what will I have to complain about then? Ummmmm.....Grandchildren I hope!;)

2 kids, 4 dogs, not good odds for me! But we might be selling our house very shortly! Dear God, give me patience!

I went to my mom's on Friday and I felt like sobbing. Her house was spotless. Oh, to live alone!

I just went in the sunroom and my son had spilled a Yoo Hoo all over a white wicker coffee table.

That's all I have been doing today... cleaning. It won't last long though, it never does...:( I'm so tired right now.

I would love for my house to be clean all the time, but with 3 children it's very difficult. Once I get the entire house clean, I feel like the "cleaning police" shouting orders at the kids to keep the house clean. :( It's not worth it to me and the house isn't as clean as I'd like it to be, I have come to accept it. ::yes::

Kristy, when you figure it out or find out, please let me know !

I keep wondering why when we had this house built 7 years ago we didn't order the self-cleaning one...
