HM quitters

i don't like people who say stuff like '' You are mean, you won't let me win'', and leave because they don't want to lose. I understand if something happens like they get dc or they have to eat dinner, but hey, when you play games there will always be people better than you or worse.

Huh the word you said after you ... is not allowed in VMK, and it is surely not allowed in here to because it is a bad word ...

not all people who leave HM are quitting the game some have no choice.

True, I have DC in all the games at one time or the other. BUT... when I enter a game, either mansion or pirate with 3 to 7 other people and after the first round I'm the only one left in the game, I really think they are quitting the game and not all are DCing at the same time.

I have a couple of questions:

First, if I were to create a petition asking VMK to remove the "exit" button from the HM game, would anyone sign it?

Second, Even if a lot of people signed it, do you think VMK would listen?

I just want to know, because I'm about as annoyed as you all. Removing the exit button would mean that if people leave in the middle of the game, you'll know they got DCed. The only other way to leave the game would be to close VMK entirely, and I don't think many people would waste the time it takes to sign back on. I played HM on Saturday, just for fun, to gather credits, and I played 4 games in a row where my opponent left in the first round. I eventually had to say in the lobby "Will anyone play a full game with me without leaving?" And thankfully, someone did after that, but sheesh!

Well, the problem is, people could still use the F5 or refresh key. From a software point of view, that probably falls in the disconnect category. If I were playing against some nasty people I would definitely refresh in order to get out of the Haunted Mansion game.

I would rather see them change the game so that the remaining team wins when the other team leaves. This wouldn't fix the situation where a person is trying to get 85 ghosts and the other team leaves during the first round but at least it is a step toward solving the problem.

I hesitate to mention this one, but they could charge us to play like they do with pirates. That might give the quitters more incentive to stay in the game. I would hate for them to do this. I don't like having to pay to play at all. I suspect the fee for playing pirates is part of the reason for some of the nastiness that takes place in the game. People who pay to play want a return on their investment.

Don't do it. Exiting should be a choice, without the exit then one would have to quit all of vmk to exit.
I don't like it when other people do it to me, but they should have the choice.
