What would you all recommend attraction wise (we have 7 children ages 3.5 to 9...extended family) for next week? Reason being that the forecast looks like scattered T-storms for most of the week!!!!!!!!!!! :earseek:

Are there some specific rides we should hit while it is NOT raining and save the others for when it is? :confused3

It has been quite a few years since I have been there and this is our first time with our dd4. Not to mention, our extended family (yes, we are a grand gathering!).

I would just like to have some guidence so that I can optimize if the weather is not so great. :earboy2:

Thank you, you all have been soooooo helpful the entire time I have been doing the planning!!! :flower:

My advice is: just bring your ponchos and enjoy everything!!!!!

Bob

keep in mind, most T-storms don't last terribly long. I actually like when it rains because a lot of time people will clear out of the parks.

Not me, I grab a poncho and keep going.

I know certain rides won't run if the rain is really bad. Test Track comes to mind, I'm sure there are others

even for the kids!!! I just didn't know if there were specific rides that do NOT run because of the rain...thanks for the tip about Test Track.

Any other helpful hints??? :flower:

So many rides are inside that about 90% will still be up and running. Bring ponchos and enjoy the parks, heck, the lines may even be short as the parks often clear out of people leaving to avoid the rain! :umbrella:

That reminds me, I need to buy ponchos! :)

We had the same forecast for our entire week (9/17-24) and though it rained a bit every day, it only rained hard once. Other times it was overcast with small amounts of sprinkles, or not even that much.

If you get a chance, do the Safari in the rain. The animals love it and might be more lively. And in the gorilla area, the gorillas moved out of the rain right up to the area near the windows.

The rain predicted over the next few days is not the typical summer pattern. These are from tropical low pressure systems. Rain is likely to last more than 10 minutes.

I agree. bring your poncho and have a good time.

I watched Illuminations during a monsoon in April. Everybody just laughed and said "what the heck, we are soaking wet anyway". Have fun.

My sis is headed to Disney next week. The forecast here in the South is always Scattered Thunderstorms. Quite often we get just an afternoon shower and the rest of the day is beautiful. Also, I think that if you check the percentages the worst chance next week is 60%! We always take our ponchos, but you should be fine!

Enjoy!

Thank you everyone for your input!!!!!!!!!! I am really just sooooo PLEASED that we are ALL going!!!!!!!!!!!!! :grouphug:

I know I will have tons to report when we get back...
