Just finished the Mallory Series by Johanny Lindsey for the thrid time. I've read all of Nora Roberts and also Jo Goodman and Catherine Coulter. I've read the Slightly Series as well.

I need some suggestions for new material. I've read all the Jude Deveraux too.

I love love love the Mallory Series so something along those lines would be great! Any suggestions????

I LOVED the Mallory series! In fact, I bought and read all Joanna Lindseys books. I just finished the Cynster series from Stephanie Laurens. Start with "Devil's Bride", it's AWESOME!

Got any recommendations for me?

Have you read any of Julia Quinn's books? She has a wonderful series.

I have read Julia Quinn but not sure.....whats the name of the series.

I do have a recommendation, Jo Goodman's Series....its about 5 sisters....ONly in my Arms, Always in My Dreams...those are two off the top of my head. Its a good series!!

Are you looking for more of a light hearted romance or are you interested in something darker?

I don't know, I've read dark before. I do like a bit of mystery thrown in though, like Nora Roberts.

Check out Elizabeth Lowell, you won't be able to put her books down. Look for that older series, the first word in the title would be "Only". Like "Only His" "Only Mine", I think there were either three or four. She wrote a lot of other historical romances, too.

I found three of the Elizabeth Lowell books your talking about here at home, I must have read it before....LOL! If I can find the other I may read it again.

I did find one I haven't read by Madeline Hunter....anyone read her books? They are By Arrangement, By Possession and By Design.

STEPHANIE LAURENS!! Stephanie Laurens has 2 series... The Cynster/s The Devil Bride is the First in the series, than all his rakes of brothers are tamed by strong willed determined in the Regency era, its wonderful.... She just started another series on the Bastion Club, again, same theme... I didnt think anyone would come close to capturing my attention like the Mallory's but the Cynster's definately do...

Love Julia Quinn's humor, also regency style, hers is the Bridgerton series, some may be out of print... WONDERFUL stong female characters, adorable male rogue's, and Julia's humor is great...

Jo Beverly has 2 series that I love...

and Kat Martin,, and ... wait, surely you've been to this website... (warning once you get started, you'll spend hours, Stephanie, and Julia and other writers also check and post on the message board, but the reviews and the review pages, and reccomendation pages are extensive!!)

http://www.likesbooks.com/boards.html (I like reader to reader, you can post this very question and get lots and lots of suggestions!!)

I decided to copy and paste this, at the top there is a list Home...etc.. roll your mouse over and get the drop down menus, this is a "IF you like...)

You beat me to it! I was going to suggest visiting AAR. I love that site!

The Cynster series is great. The last few I didn't enjoy as much but most are them are very good.

How about Judith McNaught? I first read the book Paradise, which isn't historical but others of hers are. She is why I got hooked on romance novels!

I love Wintergarden by Adele Ashworth. It's one of my favorite books. It's a sequel to Stolen Charms which I also really enjoyed.

Judith McNaught is one of my favorite authors. Her book "Whitney My Love" is the best romance novel out there. Noone can compare!! :cool1:

OMG I love this sight!!!!!! I could spend hours!! I definatly think the Cynster series is next for me though, if I can find all of the books!

YEAH!! :cheer2:

I just love Historicals! My one complaint was not knowing the "order" of the series, with the Cynsters, there is a Family Tree, and there is the "order" of the books, the newest one is from the first one "Devils Bride" her brother gets a book!!

I found the site by looking at ebay, and not knowing what the books in the large groupings they had, so I would google the titles/authors and found the site, and that's how I got started in Romance! I now pick up books at the library, and the Goodwill!! (be careful if you do ebay, check on shipping charges, and the location of the person putting the books up!!)

I completely forgot about Whitney my Love, and isnt Paradise the 2nd book to this? I know there were one or two with the secondary characters getting there own story!!

Sigrid Undset's Kristin Labrandsdatter series. Very good read....historical romance, but a nice change of pace from a lot of the "He sheathed his sword in the warm darkness of her volumptuous body" kind of writing.
