Okay, looking back on the FD stay dates, they all seem to go pretty much from Oct or Nov through early Dec. It does not list black-out dates though. I can only assume Thanksgiving is blacked out? Of course, I'd be a happy girl if it's NOT blacked out :cool1: We are looking at Nov.26-Dec. 3 of 2014. Anyone stay similar dates and get FD?

The blackout periods have become longer each year and usually include somewhat beyond the first weekend in December. It's thought they 're trying to exclude times that school and youth sports groups generally attend.

With Thanksgiving on the 27th you should probably anticipate the 26th as blacked out.

Ok. My dates are a little flexible, so maybe I have to go prior to Thanksgiving and fly home on T-day. Rates were so-so if you flew ON a holiday. We just want to see the Christmas lights and I get T-day and Friday off from work. I only get 3 personal days so I was trying to incorporate T-day and Friday into our vacation AT WDW, but I guess I can just use them as usual at home days :)

You'd definitely have a better chance if you could come in earlier. But there is always the possibility that you switch things up and then the FD dates (or any discount) don't extend into your check in date.

It's hard to say. But over the holiday you're pretty guaranteed to have a black out.
