Historic discounts in mid-October?

I'm trying to plan a fall break vacation. I do remember getting some kind of discount back in 2007 for the 2nd or 3rd week in October, but looking back at the last couple of years that looks to be blacked out of all codes/discounts I've found. Does anybody have any other idea if discounts are possible during that time? I'm planning my vacation with or without a discount but anything would be nice. Thanks in advance!

There are no codes as DW hosts a food and wine festival in October which fills most of there rooms without codes. The Epcot area gets very very busy. Why not try renting points from a DVC member that could work out a lot cheaper for you in the long run.

According to this, there were some for last fall - free dining and free gift cards, but codes weren't released until August.
