yes. he was born with a lot of problems. if i remember correctly, he was born with his brain outside of his head. i don't know the proper term for this. he was never expected to live long, but he was well taken care of and well loved his whole life.

his brother plans to get a tattoo on his shoulder with his baby brother's face, and under it it'll have his birthday and say "in loving memory" (maybe in spanish. i dunno. they're cuban, i can't remember if he said he wanted it in spanish or not)
