While my problem isn't a really bad situations I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or can help give me advice. I was born with hip dysplasia and have been in pain as far back as I can remember but my body has blocked most of it so I don't feel it anymore. I have been very lucky, even after them determining I need a complete replacement when I was 17 (11 years ago) I don't not walk with a limp or anything.
Since I do not have cartilage between the bones anymore my body actually developed extra on either side. So about 6 years ago I tore it all the way through. Since I am very active and I do not let this slow me down the tore never fully healed.
I am trying to push off the replacement due to complications down the line due to my age and needing more than the two in my life time. (Plus I'm terrified of surgery)
What I really hope someone can help me with is I have been having knee pain due to my arthritis in my hip, which I have been to the doctor for and I have no visible knee damage. I am always on my feet does anyone have any knowledge if a knee brace my lessen some of the pressure causing pain?
Thanks in advance

I have had an MRI of the full leg (my ankle at the time was also bothering me) and a third opinion from the hospital for special surgery a in NYC and been through pt so now I ride a bike to help. I guess no brace for the sporting event I have at this weekend I'll just ice/heat it after. I have to look into that for a daily walking shoe I have shoes I love but since I need the support I but new ones often. What type of massage do you get I'm willing to try anything to alleviate some pain?
