Hints on AP rate

I am trying to get a AP rate at POP for the end of March. I called and they didn't have anything available. I am planning on calling back to check, should I call every day ? Is a certain time of day better? Any hints on getting the discount would be great . Thanks.

The end of March is Easter, there probably is not much availability. But you can keep trying.

Try calling first thing in the morning. I have read on the boards that when a cancellation occurs, it is not available for rebooking until the next day. I believe that this has something to do with the computer system.

Another suggestion...Could you possibly change your travel dates? How about your resort choice?

No, I can't change my dates or resort. I am going with 4 other couples and that is the time that we can all go. Pop is the resort that they picked, so I can't change that either. I am planning on going back in Dec with my kids, thats why I am getting the AP. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll keep on calling. Maybe I'll actually get some Pixie Dust !!

Since you have to stay at PC, I would book that resort now even if you can't get the discount just to make sure you have reservations. I tried for months to get AP discounts at PC for our Christmas trip but was unsuccessful. We had to go with ASM. I called from when they first came out until 3 days before we left hoping that something might become available. I also tried for ASMV. Up until 3 days before, the only value available was ASM. Sports became available right before we left, but I prefer Music anyways over Sports.

I would keep on trying. Two days ago I got AP rate $104 for POFQ for March 19-28.

I would keep trying. Sometimes people make reservations (and sometimes for more than one resort) the day the codes are released and cancel them before/when their deposit is due. If that's the case, 14 days after the AP rates are released, there could be some availability....not sure if that'll be the case but it's worth a try. Good luck.
