Has anyone stayed here? I just won this hotel on Priceline (thanks to the betterbidding link someone provided in a previous thread!) and am wondering if there are any first hand reviews. I know it's pretty far, walk-wise, and we are totally fine with driving. We are just coming up for the night from San Diego. I've read reviews on Trip Adviser, but wanted to see if anyone here has tried it!

I also booked the Hilton Doubletree in Orange via priceline last summer. We got it for a great deal--45.00 per night.

It was a very nice hotel--I would say a solid 3.5 stars. Nice lobby with a doorman and pretty decor. After I booked it I called the hotel directly and requested a room with 2 beds and a disney fireworks view, and that is what we were given upon check in. The room was a bit small, but nice. It was a "typical" Hilton, so not super fancy, but very nice. The only thing I didn't like about the room was that it had 2 double beds rather than 2 queens. Sharing a double bed with someone is tough--even if you are sharing with a child. There is hardly any room to move around.

The view was good, but it is a very distant view of fireworks--very far away.

There is no way you could walk to Disneyland from this doubletree hilton in Orange--I think you are thinking about the Doubletree Anaheim. That one you CAN walk to Disneyland, but it is a little far to do that. The Doubletree Orange is in a different city and definitely driving distance from Disneyland.

The good thing about the Doubletree Hilton Orange is that it has it's own free shuttle to Disneyland. I think it left every half hour. It is also is located next to a big shopping area with lots of shops and restaurants called "The Block at Orange" or something like that.

I hope I did that right, never posted a link on this forum before!

LisainCalifornia I wonder if this is a different hotel? I don't think it's the Doubletree, just Hilton. And I don't think there's a free shuttle either. BUT- I hope I'm wrong and there is a free shuttle! I hadn't read about that in reviews, only ART.

Is it located in Orange or Anaheim? Can you post the full name and address of the hotel? That way we will know which one you are talking about. If you go to the actual hotel website, you will see if they offer a free DL shuttle.

I think I have found it! You are right--it isn't a Doubletree Hilton. The Doubletree Hilton in Orange does have a free shuttle to Disneyland, but the Hilton Suites that you are staying at looks like it doesn't, unfortunately. I would call the hotel to confirm this, though. This hotel is not located in Anaheim--it is in Orange. It isn't walking distance to to Disneyland, so you will need to either have a car or take the bus. They have quite a few reviews on tripadvisor if you want to see what people are saying about it:

I hope you have a great trip!:)

We stayed at the Hilton Suites by the Angels Stadium a few years ago. It was wonderful and we would stay there again. The rooms were really nice and the full breakfast buffet every morning was great. I would compare it to an Embassy Suites.

Well, we are back!

This was by far the nicest suite we have ever had! We were really happy with it (especially that we only payed $55 for it). We had a view of Angels Stadium. The customer service wasn't stellar, but it didn't bother me. We had our own car and drove to park at the Camelot. Cheaper than Disney Parking and no shuttles to wait for. Even though this was farther from Disney, we were very happy with it!

Yes they were offering public parking that day. There are a few hotels right there on Harbor that will offer public parking when they have room. The rates at The Camelot were $9 for self parking and $14 for valet. We paid the $14 for valet, because we got there at 8am and no one had checked out for the day yet, so no self parking available. But the valet said that by 11am-Noon there would be plenty of the $9 self parking since people would be checking out. (This was a Sunday)
