Ok
we are a family of 6 traveling to Orlando over Thanksgiving week. We are actually moving hotels twice d/t points/promotions (so staying onsite is not an option). We currently have two reservations for the beginning of the week (Sa-Tu):
1. Hilton LBV in DTD
2. Hilton GV @ Sea World
I originally had the HGV @ SW but then learned the Hilton DTD had the EMH and bus transportation. The EMH for the days we will be at Disney are morning AK and evening DHS. But then subsequently learned from searching these boards that Hilton DTD has construction and it seems to be a mess. My questions are:
1. Is the constructions really a mess for getting to the places at EMH or rope drop? We probably won't come back to the hotel during the day which I would imagine would be more congested.
2. Would it be faster to get to the park by staying at HGV SW and trying to avoid the congestion (is that possible)? I know we would give up the EMH but AK wasn't high on our list. I don't know that we will do DTD except maybe on day of arrival so that isn't a huge draw.
TIA for any advice.
