Hi, posted this to the universal board but thought would get an opinion here also. Considering staying at Universal on site(at Royal Pacific) & comparing either 2 days at RP or at Hilton Int'l Dr with difference being $100 more total at RP(net after universal express pass, parking, etc, etc). There's more room to spread out at hilton with 1 br unit(it's DH, DS 5 yrs & me). Which would be a better experience, confused. All other times we've stayed either onsite on Disney or combined onsite Disneyw with Hilton Parc Soleil.

Thanks in advance.

Never stayed at the Hilton but stayed at Royal Pacific Christmas '10. The rooms are nicely decorated, we stayed CL and the lounge was quite spacious and their cast members were delightful, encouraging you to eat as much as you wanted, the food was tasty as well. Onsite at Universal is definitely the way to go if ou can afford it, the front of the line perk is great, no limit on the number of times you can ride, unlike the ones you purchase. Another perk is the early entry to the Harry Potter ride for onsite guests, a definite plus as there is no front of the line option.

Royal Pacific may be my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at. Since it's only two days, I wouldn't worry as much about space concerns.

We love the on site hotels and usually stay at RPR out of the 3. I don't know your other plans but 1 night on site will give you 2 days of benefits. Also you do ay for parking at RPR, it is $17 a night.
