I am planning away here, and having never been to HHI I am alittle overwhelmed with all the places that we can do the same things from. If I book directly from Disney, for example the dolphin tour it's 30 per person, Coastal Discovery Museum is offering a 1.5 hour dolphin tour for 18 per person. Their kayak trips are $27 pp and thru Disney it's $35 per person.
Has anyone ever used Coastal Discovery Museum's tours? Do we have to pay museum admission on top of tour prices? How far is it from the resort? Is it best to stick with booking such things from Disney, or are we better off going outside? Oh, and how far in advance to you book your tee times for golf for the week before Easter? TIA

Just be sure to compare the components of the tour. I'm sure the kayak tour would be similar - except that the one offered by the resort leaves right from the resort.

The Dolphin Tour is quite a bit different. The Museum tour uses a large boat with lots of others on each tour. The boats are not very maneuverable compared to the Low Country Tours tours from the resort - which are Boston Whalers with only your own group on board.

As with many things, cost may not be the only consideration with how you will enjoy the experience.

I'm sure that any of the options will provide a good tour.

Enjoy!
