We are headed to Hilton Head in October. We've been quite a few times, but haven't been in three years. Just wondering if there are any new, not to miss restaurants on the island? Also, what are some of the best restaurants with international roots! Our son is finally out of the picky eater years and we'll be able to venture out to different cuisines.

TIA

For restaurants with Greek roots, we used to love "It's Greek to Me". I understand there's a fairly new Mediterranean restaurant within walking distance of the resort, also. Can't wait to try that.

We loved One Hot Mama's and Skullcreek Boathouse. The Mexican place close to the resort was good - your typical Mexican joint. Giuseppi's pizza was good; try a wedgie! Also the Frosty Frog had some yummy drinks!

We always eat either seafood or Southern comfort foods. Here are our favorites:
Skull Creek Boathouse
Dye's Gullah Fixins (must have reservations)
The Sea Shack

We tried a couple of new places last time and enjoyed them:
Nick's Steak and Seafood
Alexander's

We also enjoy One Hot Mama's. We always get takeout bbq for lunch one day.

Bullies BBQ (the buildings not much to look at, but awesome BBQ). Great pulled port, ribs, and brisket.

Only about 5 minutes from the resort.

Poseidon is new and very good. In the last three years the shelter cove mall has been torn down and replaced with a water front park and shopping area.

Poseidon is located there as well as a relecotation of the French bakery and new York pizza along with some others.

Poseidon is a surge group resturant so it's just as good as the skull creek boathouse with a menu a bit more upscale but still casual.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think on one of our last trips we ate at Truffles on Pope Road- seems like it was pricey, but good. Anyone know if it is still there and if it is still good?

Is Aunt Chelidas still open? I used to work in the area and always liked the food. If the Wild Wing Cafe is still open we always liked that too especially the lunch buffet.
